Moving Forward with New Programs Moving Forward We are pleased to support the development of new aquatic programs and offer a refresh with new opportunities. This keeps our aquatic programs appealing and interesting! The reality with implementing new initiatives and supporting community programs within our existing pool schedule is that schedule revisions and changes will be necessary. The potential to attract new pool patrons who will experience physical and social benefits, as well as the opportunity to offer unique programs is positive. To accommodate program development, our pool patrons may note changes and revisions in our public program schedule. This may include but is not limited to the following: • Shared pool by multiple programs occurring at the same time • Schedule revisions • Registered versus drop-in programs due to limited or specialized equipment Cooperation will be required by program organizers, participants and instructors moving forward. We anticipate some growing pains, however, flexibility, understanding and cooperation will be necessary as we strive to alleviate reduction of programs or times to create pool time in our facility. As these programs evolve, we will be open to feedback to be considered as they move forward. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. We look forward to the centre of excellence opportunities these new programs offer as they support healthy lifestyles while working in partnership with our community members. Winter Water Safety • Always check ice thickness before venturing out. • Lifejackets are for all seasons - not just summer. Wear a lifejacket during activities around the water. • No ice is without risk. 4 | Parks, Recreation & Culture Guide
