A huge thank-you
to Christmas FM listeners
We at Temple Street were thrilled to be chosen by
Christmas FM to be their charity partner for the
2018 festive season.
The station and its kind listeners went to amazing
lengths in support of our little patients, raising a
phenomenal €404,551. Over half of this sum –
€215,000 – was raised in a single day.
We are truly overwhelmed by the amount of love
and support we received from people all over the
country. The donations raised by Christmas FM
listeners have helped purchase six new incubators
and a critical-care ventilator for fragile babies and
children in our hospital.
On behalf of the staff, families and patients in Temple
Street, we would like to thank the team in Christmas
FM as well as each and every person who donated to
support the hospital over the festive season.

Little Calum Emmett’s Temple Street journey

his worried mum Jennifer rushed him to Temple

Most children who come to Temple Street stay

Temple Street becomes a home from home for
all their childhood.

“She was a funny colour,” she recalls. “Over a period

As the isolation room in Temple Street became
a kind of second home for Brooke, Allison was
amazed by the care and dedication of the staff,
“I was blown away by Temple Street’s tireless

When Brooke finally got the all clear, Allison was
ecstatic. But as she left Temple Street, she saw
newly arriving parents and desperately wanted
to do what she could to make sure they could
get the same great care that she and Brooke had
received.
That’s why Allison was one of the amazing
people who hosted a Great Irish Bake for Temple
