Welcome to Washington DC Dear Colleague, On behalf of the AAO Board of Trustees and the Planning Committee, I would like to welcome you to the 2018 Annual Session in Washington, DC. Our meeting will offer you many opportunities to expand your knowledge of the latest science produced by our specialty, and to gain knowledge and insights into the current state of business and technology applica- tions in our field. We hope that you can also re-charge and feel inspired by the cultural, historic and architectural beauty that surrounds us. Please join me at the Opening Ceremonies, where we will experience the vocal artistry of Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth; at the Excellence in Orthodontics Awards Ceremony featuring Duke University Head Basketball Coach Mike Krzyzewski; at the AAO Celebration at the Old Post Office; and at our other memorable events. Most of all, I look forward to sharing with you the warmth and camaraderie, as well as lively intellectual exchange, among friends both old and new during this meeting.
