2019 - 2020 SEASON Art Classes On Stage: A Cappella Live! Summer Art Camps Art Exhibitions Community Outreach
Dear guests and supporters of the Paramount Center for the Arts, “Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colors flowers, so does art color life.” John Lubbock (1834-1913) Yet another season has begun with a glorious array of music, dance, theater, and visual arts classes and workshops. Welcome to the magical world of the arts, where, since the dawn of time, humankind has been drawing to record history, singing to communicate, dancing to express emotion, or creating (glass, wood, painting, clay) as an expression of human existence. No matter the artist’s actual intent, art impacts all of us in different and unique ways, and we end up being better for it. For our 2019/2020 season, the Paramount Center for the Arts is providing multiple and varied options so you and your families can choose the things you enjoy on the stage or the skill you want to learn and develop in the visual arts studios. Perhaps this year you will attend an exhibition reception. Whatever your interests, please come throughout the year to see live theater, turn a bowl, hear a choir or enjoy an art appreciation lecture. We have it all for you, and all of you are always welcome. Bob Johnson Executive Director 3
