Our opponents are a proud old club To be the best you must beat the rest, who sit second in the Central Premier and we are Shore! #weareshore League. We know it’s a long way – but would value any spectator support, either from the Shore or from ex-Shore people in Wellington. The exercise of getting the team to Wellington will cost the club more than $10,000 – a miserly 20% of which will be reimbursed by New Zealand Football. NSU 2021 Message from the Head Coach Welcome Auckland United to Allen Hill. Miya and his squad are proving again that they are among the most consistent sides in this league and have no doubt they will be challenging for the National League title. We are fully aware how well we’ll need to perform today to take something from the game. We’re coming off the back of our Chatham Cup quarter final victory over Otago University who, as expected, gave us a tough challenge. We’re delighted to be in a semi-final for the club and will need to be at our best to be successful in the next round. Our attention is now fully focused on the league and ensuring we can finish as high up the table as possible. Enjoy the game. GRAB A BITE AT THE CLUB! NSU 2021 Message from the Football Development Manager Peninsula Primary Schools Football Tournament Towards the tail end of Term 2, North Shore United were lucky enough to host nine local primary schools in the Peninsula Primary Schools Football Tournament. A massive thanks goes out to all the schools who entered a year 3 & 4 team, and also a year 5 & 6 team. The nine schools were: Bayswater School Hauraki Primary St Joseph’s Catholic School Belmont Primary Milford School St Leo’s Catholic School Devonport Primary Stanley Bay School Vauxhall Primary The day was a true success. We had over 190 local boys and girls playing football with smiles on their faces. It was a great sight to see. The tournament took place at Bayswater Park, where we were able to accommodate eight games being played at once. A big thank you goes out to Mike Fox and Donna Gustafson who did a fantastic job on the BBQ and food stall on the day. Another big thank you goes to Belmont Intermediate School for supplying referees for the day. It was a showcase of our community coming together, to provide fun sporting activities for the next generation of football players. We are really looking forward to hosting our local primary schools for the upcoming Years 1 and 2 Football Festival! Ryan Ward Football Development Manager nsu.org.nz
