Pass through the black hills of South Dakota where the legends of the fron er made their mark, and stand at the na onal monuments to presidents at Mount Rushmore, and to Na ve American legend, Chief Crazy Horse. Follow the trail of pioneers and history‐makers to Wyoming—home of Buffalo Bill and the spectacular natural splendor of Yellowstone Na onal Park. Daily Tour I nerary Day 1, Saturday September 7, 2019 RAPID CITY. We travel by air to Rapid City where your Tour Director will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Your guide is on hand late this a ernoon to answer any ques ons. Day 2, Sunday September 8, 2019 RAPID CITY–CRAZY HORSE–MOUNT RUSHMORE–DEADWOOD. Visit CRAZY HORSE MEMORIAL, a monument carved out of a mountain that pays respect to the great Na ve American hero, Chief Crazy Horse. Drive deep into the Black Hills, through what was Sioux Indian territory, to see the stunning granite faces of MOUNT RUSHMORE, a giant monument to four great American presidents: Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt. On to Deadwood, a lawless fron er town during the 1876 Gold Rush, where Jack McCall murdered Wild Bill Hickok during a poker game. Overnight here, and discover Deadwood’s Wild West ways as you walk in the footsteps of legends like Calamity Jane and Seth Bullock. Day 3, Monday September 9, 2019 DEADWOOD–SHERIDAN‐CODY. This morning, head through high country, where open‐range ca le kings made war on the homesteaders in the 1890s. Drive past Sheridan in the Bighorn Mountains, site of ba les between the U.S. Cavalry and the Sioux, Cheyenne, and Crow Indians. Overnight in Buffalo Bill’s fron er town of Cody.
Day 4, Tuesday September 10, 2019 CODY–YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK. Proceed through Shoshone Na onal Forest to YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK. Travel along Grand Loop Road to Ar st Point for views of the Lower Falls of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. The next two nights are inside Yellowstone Na onal Park. Day 5, Wednesday September 11, 2019 YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK. Today, explore more of America’s first na onal park by returning to visit the geyser basins with bubbling mud paint pots and the reliable “blow” of Old Faithful. In addi on to superb mountain scenery, the park is one of the world’s principal wildlife preserves and a photographer’s paradise. Day 6, Thursday September 12, 2019 YELLOWSTONE –GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK–JACKSON. Head south into magnificent GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK, one of America’s last preserves of wild solitude. Its 13,770‐foot‐high ridges are crested with snow most of the year. Stroll along the shores of beau ful glacier‐fed Jenny Lake before ending the day in the Wild West town of Jackson with its wooden sidewalks and swing‐door saloons. This evening, join an op onal barbecue cookout and Wild West show. Travel by horse‐ drawn covered wagon into Cache Creek Canyon and experience dinner and entertainment before returning to Jackson.
Day 7, Friday September 13, 2019 JACKSON. Time to relax in Jackson or maybe join a scenic trip down the Snake River. Enjoy an 8‐mile float trip that passes nes ng areas of bald eagles, ospreys and a plethora of other bird species and wildlife. The a ernoon is free to explore the historic downtown area of Jackson. Day 8, Saturday September 14, 2019 JACKSON–SALT LAKE CITY. Today, travel to Salt Lake City, Utah’s vibrant capital. Set on the edge of Great Salt Lake Desert, this center of the Mormon religion is where Brigham Young declared to his followers, “This is the place.” An included sightseeing tour offers a glimpse of Temple Square, the Capitol Building, and the beau ful downtown area. Day 9, Sunday September 15, 2019 SALT LAKE CITY. Your vaca on ends this morning.

Rates & Terms Double Occupancy $3,199.00 per person Single Occupancy $4,139.00 per person A $300.00 per person deposit is required in order to guarantee space for this Na onal Parks tour. Final payment is due by June 20, 2019. Once paid, monies are non‐refundable. No excep ons. Therefore Trip Cancella on & Travel Protec on Insurance is highly recommended. Direct Travel highly recommends travel insurance which provides reimbursement coverage for trip cancella on for covered medical reasons, and other benefits including bankruptcy/default, trip delay, missed departure, accident medical expense, sickness medical expense, common carrier AD&D, 24‐hour AD&D, bag‐ gage and personal effects, baggage delay and more.
