MISER USERS GROUP ANNUAL CONFERENCE HILTON LAKE BUENA VISTA • ORLANDO • FLORIDA May 6-10, 2018 Attendee Brochure
Plan now to attend the MISER Users Group’s annual conference May 6–10, 2018 at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista. MUG members and associate vendors had a great conference last year and enjoyed the Hilton’s resort amenities and access to the Central Florida attractions. The Executive Committee has already set the preliminary schedule for next year’s meeting, which you can see in this brochure. We have FIS-led general sessions on MISER DeskTop, Real-Time Payments, and Cybersecurity, as well as new sessions on digital branch trends and forecasts, eDocuments, change management, automating business processes, converting to Desktop from ACI, and Post-MUG classes providing in-depth training in specialized topics available this year from both FIS and MUG. Everyone loved the Vendor Spotlight sessions introduced last year, and they return in 2018. Each vendor makes a three-minute presentation on their company and products one after the other, in a fun and fast- paced manner. We have also invited vendors to take an add-on sponsorship that enables them to take part in user panels and open forums. We encourage you to arrive a day early, or extend your stay at the conference to enjoy the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista and the many attractions the Orlando area has to offer. Why You Should Attend?

Welcome Party | Sunday, May 6 | 6:45 - 10:00 p.m. After a day of light meetings and the welcome reception in the exhibit hall, gather with all your fellow MUG attendees and FIS employees for a relaxing poolside dinner and party. Music, great food, and relaxing entertainment will enhance this exciting opening event. Sponsored by: MUG Vendor Showcase Starting with Sunday’s opening reception at 5:00 pm, we’ll have plenty of breaks and non-conflict exhibit time for FIS and independent vendors. Breakfasts and refreshment breaks on Monday and Tuesday, and long sessions at the end of the afternoon on Monday and Tuesday contribute to more than seven hours of non- conflict exhibit time. Exhibitors also have plenty of opportunity to interact at social events and attend sessions. Monday night is open, providing opportunities to take attendees to dinner. We will once again play the Playing Card Matchup Game and the Stamp Card game for prize giveaways which encourage more interaction with attendees. Monday Night on Your Own Traditionally, Monday night of the MUG Conference is open after the Trade Show hours conclude, leaving attendees free to explore the area with colleagues and friends. Many are invited to dinner by vendors, who enjoy the opportunity to socialize with current and potential clients. You can walk easily to the many restaurants and shops of Disney Springs. Closing MUG Party: MSPN - MUG Sports Party Night Gather poolside in your favorite sports team’s gear for wonderful food, entertainment, and games of luck and skill.
Feed My Starving Children Chairman Brad Grant has selected Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) as the 2018 MUG Charitable initiative. This amazing, volunteer- driven group spends more than 90% of total donations on packing nutritious meals for starving children across the U.S. and internationally. The group consistently receives the highest awards for integrity and trustworthiness, and each meal costs less than 25 cents. Founded in 1987 by Minnesota businessman Richard Proudfit, FMSC is a Christian non-profit organization that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically for malnourished children. Donations fund the meal ingredients, and adult and youth volunteers pack them, and the meals are distributed to the kids through an exceptional network of missions and humanitarian organizations. “We believe that food is the foundation for all other progress. To a starving child, hope can only truly begin once a reliable source of nutritious food has been established. Food assistance is a vital component in the process of transitioning individuals, families and communities out of chronic hunger and poverty and into self-sufficiency.” MUG members can make checks payable to FMSC either in advance or on-site at the conference.
Since first attending the MUG conference 10 years ago, I have made many treasured con- nections with other MISER users as well as some of the vendors. They are all so friendly and willing to share information. This inspired me to get involved in the subgroups, and now I serve on the MUG Executive Committee, where I hope to continue to foster all of those ben- eficial things that captured my attention 10 years ago. – Todd Rodriguez, Saco & Jennifer Biddeford Dominguez, America's Christian Credit Union I look forward to attending MUG each year as it never disappoints. The relationship building and connections made through and at MUG are one of the most powerful tools I have when I return back to work. I always learn something new and have a great time doing it.
