Editor’s Notebook O ver the past forty years, we have seen dramatic changes in the knowledge requirements for the profession of veterinary medicine. The original thought process of the day was to graduate veterinarians that were capable of going into any practice, most probably 24 a mixed-animal practice, and be relatively competent the first day on the job performing all aspects of veterinary medicine. However, over the years, the amount of information available to teach undergrads has increased dramatically.
