Whose road is it? 19 Local roads versus arterial roads Glenelg Highway 2 2 The State Government owns and manages 603 Skipton 14 kilometres of arterial roads in Corangamite Shire (see map on the right). Most of the calls we receive about road issues relate to these arterial roads. We know 11 our residents don’t care whether it is a local (Council-owned) road, or an arterial (Regional Roads Victoria) road - they just want decent roads to travel on.
