We were getting older, experienced some illness and simply couldn’t keep up the house and gardens. The summer heat in Perth was unbearable. Our long term plan to come to Albany and more recently to an NLV village, was finally within sight as David retired. We visited The Outlook at Albany, saw the lakeside lots and decided there and then. Now, we’re right opposite Oyster Lake within the village. It is a most beautiful view. We just cannot believe it. We keep pinching ourselves to believe that we’re actually here. We also love the community aspect of it as well. In an emergency, we can call on other residents or help in turn. We can socialise as much as we want in the new Clubhouse or be private if we want. We also go on holidays and know somebody will keep an eye on things for us. The space, nature and climate suit us perfectly.”
