Speaker Biographies Pat Schou is the executive director of the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network, the first statewide critical access hospital network (established in 2003 and comprised of 57 CAH and small, rural hospitals) which provides a number of hospital support services and educational programs. She also manages the Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Grant, the Small Hospital Improvement Program, and several other grant programs on behalf of the Illinois Department of Public Health. In addition, Ms. Schou is the executive director of the Illinois Rural Community Care Organization, which is a statewide rural accountable care organization comprised of 27 critical access and small, rural hospitals.
