Why you should use a Post Haste Travel Professional Travel Advisor (we travel and study a lot!) Touring the World Traveling as a Family Planning a Honeymoon Without a travel consultant, you’re on your own Suzanne Perun 2019 is off to a roaring start with lots of amazing client trips being curated, ship inspections and educational travel related events, all of which help rejuvenate ones travel spirit with updates and new destinations. I absolutely love to personalize each vacation to exceed clients expectations, in turn forging lasting memories. Personally, my family and I visited the Pacific NW, enjoying the pristine nature of British Columbia. In November we flew to the fairytale country of Switzerland – The quaint villages are so easily connected by train and traveling is a breeze. Snowboarding in Zermatt while enjoying views of the Matterhorn was on the top of the list! Did you know that skiing in Switzerland is actually about ½ the cost of here in the States?? Perhaps something to consider for next season! We spent New Year’s at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch, Colorado – they have a chair lift right out back and with the ski concierge helping you put on your heated boots, it’s a great start to a day on the slopes! This Spring I was lucky enough to be in- vited on a day trip to the Exumas with Staniel Air. We departed Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport at 7 am and flew over the picturesque waters of the Bahamas to Staniel Cay where we were greeted by our boat captain onboard a 34 ft. Jupiter. We spent our day boating the clear waters and cays to see the swimming pigs, sharks, deserted sandbars, grottoes, etc.. What a fantastic day trip and Post Haste Travel has special pricing! Spring Break we spend on St Kitts at the new Park Hyatt St Kitts. Perfect location to revitalize the soul with its 5* service, Miraval Spa, 24 hour Fitness and laid back beach vibe. Great for families as well as couples. We loved the wild and ador- able Vervet monkeys running around as well. In honor of St Patrick’s Day my son and I flew to Dublin for a few days. The Irish are a fun loving friendly people with so much history, rugged nature, music and culture. We stayed at the historic Shelbourne Hotel right in the heart of the city with its 195 year history which could not have been better! Some might say I am restless- but my Grandmother always said “you can rest when you get old” – she was in her 90s and was still traveling the world! There is no time like the present – What is on your list for 2019?

Where do we travel? Rhonda Zorman-Enjoy Life Vacations -an Independent Affiliate of Post Haste Travel Interested in Traveling to South Africa, Please Read This. Last fall I had the opportunity for an educational trip to South Africa with two oth- er travel advisors and the Director of Global Sales for Relais & Chateau. If you are not familiar with Relais & Chateau they are an association of independently owned, exquisite, five-star boutique ho- tels around the globe. They are also well known for their restaurants offering outstanding culinary and wines. During our ten-day South Africa visit, we stayed at six Relais & Chateau properties that were all incredible. One of my favorites was Londolozi Safari Lodges, a private game reserve located in Kruger National Park. Founded in 1926 by one of South Africa’s pioneer, it is still owned and operated by the same family, the history is fascinating. Nelson Man- dela stayed for five months after he was released from prison which contributes to the amazing stories told. Here you can see the Big 5 up close and personal, especially leopards and rhinos. Unlike the national parks, private game re- serves allow for better access and less crowds. Londolozi has five separate luxury “camp” areas that can accommo- date families to honeymooners. There is a lot of attention to the smallest details, fabulous food, extremely knowledge- able game drive guides, and attentive staff that have all worked there for years - I can’t recommend this place enough. Next we headed south to stay in “Cape Town’s Most Exclusive Address,” the Ellerman House. If you appreciate art, this is the place to stay. This remarkable property includes the opportunity to view the most famous South African art collection in the world. The hotel has breathtaking views since it is positioned high above the sea offering fantastic sunsets while having gin cocktails. Cape Town is a fascinating city, you could spend a week and not see and do everything. One fun thing to do is to visit the pen- guins. I know, you don’t think of penguins in S. Africa, but they are there, lots of them! From Cape Town we drove 30 miles east to the Stellenbosch Mountain in the wine land region. Here we stayed at two lovely properties, De- laire Graaf and The Cellars-Hohenort, both in the heart of the wine lands and five-star, with private swimming pools with spectacular views of the vineyards and mountains. Delaire Graaf is a produc- er and their wines are fabulous. They will ship a case (or two) back to the States for a nominal fee. We took a quick domestic flight up to Victoria Falls (a.k.a Vic Falls) into Zimbabwe, then had an easy transfer into Zambia. The property was Royal Chundu, my other most absolute fa- vorite. From the international airport we were taken by helicopter to the hotel. On the way we were given an air tour of the falls and flew through the canyons. It was one of most exciting things I’ve done in my life and I would highly rec- ommend. Located on the shores of Zambezi River, Royal Chundu has so much to offer. My group’s favorite was ca- noeing, where at one point you “shoot the rapids,” which was so much fun. That trip includ- ed a gourmet lunch, cooked to order, in the middle of nowhere. Another favorite was visiting a REAL African village and meeting the natives to learn how they live, it is impressive. The sunset cruise where you see hippos and lots of beautiful birds was also a great experience. If you are looking for a romantic getaway or a honeymoon it does not get any better than what Royal Chundu offers. In addition to their main lodges, there are a few luxury cabins on a private island where you are taken by boat. Here you have spacious five-star accommodations with river views and a gourmet res- taurant. Another special touch is there is a claw-foot bath tub on your deck that extends over the river. A hot bubble bath is drawn for you nightly where you can soak enjoying the sounds while staring at the stars, all while sipping champagne. It is incredible. The other most romantic setting I’ve ever seen is Royal Chundu has built a platform high above the river that has a bed enclosed with beautiful white blowing curtains, a sitting area that offers memorable views of the sunset, and a small bathroom. After canapes and cocktails served by your butler at sunset, you spend a romantic evening in seclusion, other than the guards keeping an eye out below. Royal Chundu is a place is special, the owner is very involved, she pays a lot of atten- tion to details like the unique gift left on your pillow nightly and the show performed by local villagers. I can’t wait to return!
Robin Berman Josh and Robin Berman, and George and Francine Peace re- cently traveled to Costa Rica for a fun filled week of fishing, hiking, and visiting Manuel Antonio National Park. The first stop was Los Suenos for some sun and fun. We went offshore fishing with The Spanish Fly out of the Los Suenos Marriott. Captain Simone, along with Carlos and Gato provided for an awesome Mother and daugh- ter surprise trip to day of fishing. We caught three sailfish and two yellowfin tuna! After leaving Los New York Suenos, we traveled about an hour to Manuel Antonio. Our jungle adventures began there. Every day we had a visit from the local Monkeys,Toucans, Macaws, Gal Cahlon in Israel etc. at our accommodations. The wildlife was truly abundant! We also visited the National Park with a private guide who spotted several natural species to the area, including the infamous sloth! The sunsets over the pacific were a beautiful way to end the day in this magical country. As we love to fish, we charted again in Queo- pos. This time we caught a Spanish Mackerel, Dorado, and Corvino which we took to a local restaurant where they cooked our fresh catch for us! A magnificent meal to end a magnificent trip. Costa Rica has so much to offer and so much to do for all ages. Fran Thorz and friends in Cuba

Candace Andreozzi “Ah! The sounds of travel.” Ever listen to your surroundings when traveling? Whether you’re in New York City or Africa, take the time to have your “AH!” moment and listen to the sounds of travel around you. Take Salamander Resort and Spa, for example. Tucked in the pristine hill and horse country of Virginia, just a mere 30 minute drive from Dulles Airport, Washington, D.C. Listen to the sounds of nature; gentle winds through the trees, horses neighing from the equestrian center, footsteps of deer following the creek alongside the hiking trails, crackling fire at night in the fire pits and the chime of wine glasses being hoisted for a toast. With the village of Middleburg 5 min- utes away, you can shop, visit the local wineries and enjoy this local vibe with the ease of the wind. Don’t just stop and smell the roses; stop and listen to the sounds of travel. Salamander Resort and Spa – www.salamanderresort.com – ask me about this enchanting resort along with other Salamander locations. And when it comes to the “sounds of travel”, nothing compares to Africa. Lions roaring in the night along with the laughing of the hyenas; monkeys chattering above in the trees, the rustle of grasses as impalas graze. The birds flying overhead with their sweet sounds of hunting. I will be escorting a group to Kenya and Uganda for the ultimate African adventure in 2020. Kenya and the Maasai Mara for the migration and Uganda for gorilla trekking. This adventure will begin with an August 31, 2020, USA departure and returning home September 13, 2020. This is on a first come/first serve basis as it is open to only 14 guests. The cost is approxi- mately $10,000 per person. This includes all tours, hot air ballooning, internal air, permits, lodging and meals. It does NOT include international air, VISAs, gratuities or insurance. I look forward to hosting you in 2020 or helping you with any of your travel adventure needs and wants. Stop and smell the roses but don’t forget to listen. Barbara Stein Crystal World Cruise 2019 Meredith McCleary-Ebony Heritage Travel Reflecting on the places I have traveled across six continents and numerous world heritage sites, I ponder the answer to a most frequent asked question … “What is your favorite destination and why” or “how many times have you been to Africa”? I suppose I just answered that – AFRICA. It has been my DREAM destination all of my life - I think fourth grade was the start of the urge to see this vast continent. Now many decades later – the story & book that made me lust for Africa , was really in India (Asia). This year I made three trips to Africa: One with Re- lais Chateau for luxury hotels, wine country and luxury safari lodges. A Queens wildest Dream Vacation – The Arts, culture, spirits, gourmet dishes, and luxury safari lodges in Zimbabwe. No it was not my everyday Africa trip and I would love to send you to just one of the properties/experiences. I am still tingling from the service and experience of the people and places. My other venture was across Zimbabwe to Botswa- na to experience African Bush camps. Bush camps are lo- cated in some of the most remote part of the African bush, on rivers, deltas, lakes, and waterways. Great game view- ing in the natural habitat outside your door, deck or window, visits with local villages, schools and community projects nearby supported by the camps. These camps are only accessible by charters. Land Rovers and 4x4’s Jeeps are for transfers and game viewing. The evenings are superb, with a welcome home after game drives … hot baths or spa treatments, cozy blankets around the fire in the Boma, fireside chats and storytelling under starlit skies, and the sounds of local African music, drums, dance and entertain- ment that fill the air with wonder. To top this off I experi- enced Helicopter rides over the Delta, thru the gorges of Victoria Falls and the mighty Zambezi River; went water rafting (first ever) on the Zambezi River at Royal Chundu. Bush walks, sunset cruises, Boat rides, Bush Dinners and village tours … are all of the things I LOVE about Africa My final Africa trip was to Kenya to the International Kenya Travel Expo. This included safari with Classic Sa- faris at Hammerkop Camp on the Mara River. It was won- derful to awake by the sounds of hippo grunts, followed by a quick guard knock (call) and cup of coffee…. then rush to join your group for pre-dawn game drives to catch the awakening of the wildlife, such as lions, leopards, wilde- beest, giraffe, and buffalo in search of the days catch. There is nothing like the open plains of the Maasai Mara! Each game drive is a guessing game of what you might see. Each trip I see wildlife of the area that I had not seen before as we drive across the savannahs and plains in search of the “BIG Five”. Sometimes we are lucky and sometimes we are not – but we are always amazed at what we discover!
