Welcome Welcoming in the New Year, we have a typically busy and varied programme for you at Junction, bringing back some old friends and introducing you to some new ones. Top billing for the season is probably Chris Difford, the award winning song writer from Squeeze who I have been trying to bring here for a number of years. But then again, it could be the astonishing Joe Broughton’s Conservatoire Folk Ensemble, a massive 50 strong folk band which will shake the dust from the rafters later in June, assuming we can work out how they’ll all fit on stage. Or perhaps instead, comedian Alfie Moore with his latest show. Or Verve, the post graduate company from Northern School of Contemporary Dance. In truth, every performance will bring top quality in their field, whether that’s theatre from Silent Uproar or a family show from the Australian company Cluster Arts – book this if you want to see the amazing toilet paper gun in action! All this plus more local talent from Spoken Word, Castaway, Read’s Warblers and the Duet School of Dance. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
