SELECTION OF RUNNERS The Singapore Turf Club’s Selection Panel will rank all horses after the alternative entry stage. Particular account will be taken of the horses’ past performances over distances close to 1,600 metres/8 furlongs. The Club has the authority and discretion to determine the runners and reserves for the Kranji Mile and its decision shall be final. 02

HOSPITALITY INFORMATION Air Tickets and Hotel Accommodation for Connections of Invited Overseas Horses The Singapore Turf Club at its discretion, will provide tickets. GENERAL CONDITIONS AND INFORMATION Rules of Racing The Kranji Mile will be run under the Malayan Racing Association Rules of Racing. Entries/Nominations The Singapore Turf Club reserves the right to reject entries/ nominations at any time at its discretion whether or not they have previously been accepted. Postponement/Cancellation of Races The Singapore Turf Club reserves the right to postpone or cancel the race for any reason whatsoever without prior notice or liability to any party. In the event of cancellation, the Acceptance/Start Fees will be refunded. HORSEMEN’S INFORMATION Interviews Owners, trainers and jockeys whilst in Singapore, should make themselves available, at no charge, at all reasonable times (including immediately after the races) for interviews by the press and other representatives of the media when requested by Singapore Turf Club. Insurance Visiting jockeys will be covered by Singapore Turf Club’s insurance policy against injuries and accidents resulting from work related activities in Singapore. Visiting horse connections (owners, trainers, assistant trainers, head lads, exercise riders and grooms) are strongly advised to arrange their own insurance to cover travel, work and non-work related injury and illness. Licensing The Singapore Turf Club will issue visiting licences to overseas trainers and jockeys participating in the race upon their arrival in Singapore. A visiting jockey licence will enable the jockey to ride in Singapore for all races on 25 May 2019. Overseas jockeys are required to arrive in Singapore at least one day before the race meeting. On race days, all jockeys are required to be in the Jockeys’ Room at least one hour before the first race. HOSPITALITY INFORMATION BODY PROTECTOR Every rider is required to wear a body protector of a design approved by the Stipendiary Stewards during training and during the races. To compensate for the jockeys being required to wear body protectors, the weight of all jockeys shall be deemed to be 1.0 kg less than the weight registered on the scale. VETERINARY REQUIREMENTS Pre-departure Veterinary Requirement a. Within 2 to 7 days prior to departure to Singapore, all overseas horses will be required to pass compulsory pre-travel veterinary inspections by a qualified Veterinary Surgeon, checking locomotor and health aspects which may affect travel or performance (This is a Singapore Turf Club requirement). b. Within the last 48 hours, veterinary health certification to meet AVA guidelines for temporary importation of horses to Singapore. This certificate involves freedom of exposure to various diseases, treatment with parasitic agents and vaccination history within the last 30 days, as well as a clinical examination (This is an official Agri- Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) requirement). Long-Acting Medications Trainers are responsible for ensuring that their horses are free from long-acting prohibited substances prior to departure to Singapore. Horses will be required to provide blood and urine samples for analysis for prohibited substances on arrival at the Isolation Stables at the racecourse.
