R O S E V I L L E CO L L E G E Senior Sport Roseville College offers an extensive sports program Sports on offer at Roseville College that encourages students of all abilities to participate in and enjoy sport. Roseville competes in IGSSA Term 1 Term 3 (Independent Girls’ Schools Sports Association) • Cross country • Athletics carnivals and competitions in both team and individual • Gymnastics • Cross country sports throughout the year. • Rowing • Gymnastics Matches are played on Saturday mornings between 8am • Softball • Hockey and 12pm, with the majority played locally on the North • Swimming • Netball • Tennis • Snowsports. The Athletics Squad trains on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons during Terms 2 and 3 at Sydney Academy of Sport, Narrabeen. The Athletics Squad also competes in the Schools Knockout Competition. Basketball Term 2 In Term 2, students have the opportunity to play Basketball in the IGSSA competition. Training sessions are held at the College, before and after school. Games are played at indoor venues on Saturday mornings at venues across Sydney and Frensham in Mittagong. Registration and trials occur in Term 1. Cross Country Terms 1, 2, 3 and 4 Cross Country training runs throughout the year on Monday and Thursday mornings before school. The House Cross Country is held in Term 1 at St Ives Showground for any girl who would like to run and represent their House. Students PAG E 1.
SENIOR SPORT who perform well are then selected to represent Roseville Rowing and compete at the IGSSA Cross Country held at Frensham Terms 1 and 4 in May. All students have the opportunity to compete in GPS and CAS Cross Country fixtures during Terms 2 and 3. In Terms 1 and 4, students have the opportunity to join Roseville’s Rowing program.
