Potted History: The district originally included Oadby on its formation in 1894, but was removed in 1913. Other
areas had been transferred to Leicester City by the 1930s. The last major change came in the early 1970s, when the
district acquired some of the areas of the Hinckley Rural District.

Blaby District’s mixture of urban and rural settings
makes it an ideal hub for people from across the region
to enjoy sport, and where sports clubs can prosper.
Enderby Leisure & Golf Centre has an 18-hole course
and swimming pool, bowls centre and sports hall, it’s
the location for many sports teams and residents to
enjoy their fitness activity.
The Pavilion Leisure Centre, Huncote also caters for
fitness goers with its two outdoor 3G football pitches,
gym, squash courts and sports hall. It also boasts a

                                                            But a new regulation means all licensed vehicles will now display
