Growing Together Poverty is not only marked by material deprivation, but also by the toll the constant worry, fear and stress has on those experiencing it. It is a deeply complex social problem, and cannot be solved by any one person alone. Yet together, there is something we can do about it. Every day, our network of 125 food banks lend a kind hand to hungry people in our province, providing emergency food and services to those who need it most. Through their work, they plant seeds of hope for a better future. Our job is to support our members so they can better serve their clients. This past year, we have seen advances in our ability to acquire and distribute fresh Board of Directors and frozen food, adding chicken to our roster of milk, beef, eggs, pork and Chris Hatch - Chair turkey. We are committed to cultivating relationships that make even greater Basil Alexander - Past Chair improvements to the nutritional quality of the food we send to our members.
