The Hobbo’s helper roster for 2021 Our events can only be run with the assistance of our club helpers, and it is an expectation of membership for everyone to help at least once during the year. For those competing in the Greenwich Cup (which we hope is everyone), AND who were in the 2019 top 10, OR as the year progresses find themselves in the 2021 top 10, it is mandatory to help (and not run) at one monthly handicap (i.e. only run 11 handicaps maximum). Everyone outside the 2019 & 2021 top 10 can run in 12 handicaps if they want, and help at other events. At some events it is possible for some helpers to also run in the event (e.g.help with setup and pack down), but some helpers will be needed right through the event. This will vary between events, but we aim for everyone to have as much opportunity to run as possible. Fundraising events can also count as helping, unless you are in the 2019 or 2021 top 10. All of our helper roles are easy, can be fun, and suit people recovering from injury. It’s also a great chance to be a spectator for a change and cheer on your clubmates. in those last few kilometres, as the cadence in the legs started to drop off.
