Public Engagement AIR MILES SURVEY ON HOUSING AFFORDABILITY AND INTENSIFICATION In June 2015, an Air Miles survey was sent to 500,000 people in the GTHA. The survey engaged 26,056 residents of the GTHA on issues relating to housing affordability in the region. The results provided new insights into what people think about changes to their communities related to affordable housing, their understanding of housing initiatives, and their level of concern regarding affordability in their communities. This public event was held as a follow-up to the federal announcement on the National Housing Strategy to urge government to take immediate action and implement the strategy. 100 community members attended the event, which also received coverage in Toronto’s Metro News.
