Stowe Veterinary Group GRADUATEPROGRAMME Stowe Veterinary Centre, Stowmarket Our practices Each of our practices has different strengths and specialities, making Stowe Veterinary Group a dynamic and exciting place The Mustard Pot Veterinary Surgery, Needham Market to start your career. Stowe Veterinary Centre, based in Stowmarket, is a mixed practice dealing with all species, with stabling and overnight care for horses. To the rear of the premises, there is a competitively priced country store supplying products for small holders, farmers and equine livery yards. Ipswich Veterinary Centre is a purpose-built and state-of-the-art practice, primarily treating small animals, including exotic pets. The Old Tea Room Veterinary Surgery, Elmswell The centre has a range of modern facilities including a hydrotherapy pool and aquatic treadmill, dog agility field, training and exercise areas, with a behaviour classroom. Ipswich Veterinary Centre also has a dedicated dentistry suite, modern operating theatres, a CT scanner and ultrasound facilities for non-invasive diagnostics. Ipswich Veterinary Centre is also attached to a Central College of Animal Studies centre, which offers DipVN and DipVNA courses. 4 stowevets.co.uk

Our modern, well-equipped clinics and busy caseload will enable you to build your career in a professional and supportive environment. We believe our veterinary centres are some of the best-equipped practices in the country. Through continual reinvestment in equipment, staff training and development, we aim to support you in making those first tentative steps from veterinary student to practising vet. Our wealth of specialist clinics and services include on-site CT scanning, small animal physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. With the support of experienced practitioners, you will get involved in all areas of the practice group and develop a lifelong career as a veterinary professional. An environment to thrive Our established practices offer a complete primary care service for registered clients and their pets. Free weight and nutrition clinics run alongside specialist veterinary nurse consults, allowing owners to discuss their pet’s health, behaviour, wellbeing and development. That’s why all of our graduates are encouraged to get involved with our National Veterinary Referral Service (NVRS), which offers procedures such as orthopaedics, total hip replacement, dentistry and oral surgery. You will work alongside an experienced team using the most advanced equipment available, including diagnostic imaging machines, modern operating theatres and our in-house laboratory. If that’s not enough, our small animal services extend to our professional dog ‘Grooming Lounge’ and Pets Place shops, giving clients access to an abundance of bedding, collars, toys, coats and pet foods. Not only do these practices offer a well-established small animal service, but they also offer a brilliant equine and farm department (based at SVG) and an amazing equine-only practice (based at DVE). The SVG Equine and Farm department and the DVE practice are long-established providers of equine and large animal veterinary services throughout the Eastern counties. We are able to offer 24-hour care for farm and equine patients, including on-site stabling and laboratory facilities. Stowe Veterinary Group GRADUATEPROGRAMME We have an excellent reputation and work closely within the community and alongside other equine professionals, including farriers, physiotherapists, chiropractors, saddlers and other holistic therapies. We also offer a tailored veterinary service to smallholders, meaning we can cater for their individual needs. Our regular work involves a wide range of species, including sheep, goats, poultry, alpacas, llamas, pigs and other domestic animals. Alongside our specialised department at Stowe, we also have an on-site health supplies store for all livestock farmers and equine owners. Stowe Animal Health supplies a complete range of products, including dietary supplements, feeds, forage, bedding, some clothing and tack – offering free local delivery. But it’s not just Suffolk that has a lot to offer. Cambridge, Norwich and London are all within easy reach, Aldeburgh beach giving you the country lifestyle but access to vibrant urban amenities. A thriving social scene Located in the heart of Suffolk, SVG practices are a stone’s throw away from natural beauty, rich cultural heritage and a thriving social scene. Explore idyllic Framlingham, home of ‘Castle on the Hill’, admire wildlife from the banks of the River Orwell, or feast on fish and chips at Aldeburgh.
