UNION RADIO SCIENTIFIQUE INTERNATIONALE COMITE NATIONAL FRANÇAIS DE RADIOELECTRICITE SCIENTIFIQUE SIEGE SOCIAL : ACADEMIE DES SCIENCES, 23 QUAI DE CONTI, PARIS 6EME Workshop Geolocation and navigation March 28-29, 2018 Observatoire de Paris, Meudon site 2018 Workshop The URSI-France 2018 Workshop, under the sponsorship of the French Academy of Sciences, will be dedicated to “Geolocation and navigation”. The workshop will be held at the Meudon Site of the “Observatoire de Paris” (10 minutes train from Paris), on March 28-29, 2018. Geolocation has massively entered our society. It is used in many applications. It covers a wide range of fields, including GNSS satellite tracking systems, radars, interferometry, communication systems, autonomous vehicles, connected objects and smart cities. Geolocation may require extremely accurate clocks, which raises scientific and technological challenges. ORGANISATION The workshop will be held at the Meudon Site of the “Observatoire de Paris” 5 place Jules Janssen, Meudon, France, on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29, March 2018. On Thursday at 14:20 pm will be held the General Assembly of URSI-France. The workshop will be organized around oral sessions. Most sessions will be introduced by invited lecturers presenting the state of the art and/or recent developments, followed by regular communications, which were selected by the Scientific Committee. The working languages will be French and English. A Young Scientist Grant of 300 euros and free registration will be awarded to a selected paper whose first author’s affiliation is European and outside France. The first author must attend the workshop and he/she must be under 35 years old. PUBLICATION The papers will be available online via URSI-France website: http://ursi-france.org After selection by the Scientific Committee, some authors will be invited to publish a paper either in a special issue of the “Comptes rendus Physique” of the “Académie des sciences” or in the “Revue de l’électricité et de l’électronique” (REE). REGISTRATION FEES The registration fee is 220 € for each participant. It includes, among others, lunches and coffee breaks. A reduced fee of 125 € will be applied to students and retired participants. With an additional 47 € you will receive the special issue of the “Comptes rendus Physique” of the “Académie des sciences”, which will gather the key contributions of the Workshop.
