LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT Reconnecting Through the pandemic we rediscovered the networks of our lives: our families, our friends, our colleagues and our clients. As we focused on these relationships, we may have discovered that we had let our attention lapse, that we had taken some things for granted. Now, as the world cautiously moves forward, we must remember how important these networks are to us, and how important we are to them. As we turn the page on a new fiscal year, I certainly want to thank you for your hard work and continued feedback on how we support you. PERSON to PERSON Over the course of his career, Southern division Director Tom Galvin has felt an indomitable optimism within Raymond James – through bulls, bears, a pandemic and the persistent march of change. W hen I was a new manager, Tom Hudson introduced me to the idea of “soul pay.” I don’t know if he came up with the term – I’m going to give him full credit for it – but it’s the idea that when you are entrusted with leadership, you learn to recognize the intangible value of helping others succeed. You might not get directly paid for it, but it’s good for the soul; it’s how you know you’re doing well.
