FULBRIGHT AMBASSADOR Catherine Leen Catherine.M.Leen@mu.ie Dr Catherine Leen is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Spanish and Latin American Studies at Maynooth University. Her teaching and research interests centre on Mexican and Chicana/o literature and cinema, as well as Argentine and Paraguayan literature and visual cultures. She has published widely on Chicana/o writers and on Chicana/o and Latin American cinematographers. In 2008, she received a Fulbright Scholarship to conduct research at the Chicana/o Studies Centre at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is currently completing a monograph on Latina/o filmmakers and Mexico.
v RECENT FULBRIGHT MU AWARDEES Dr Tanya Maria Cassidy Dr Tanya M. Cassidy is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Dublin City University, an affiliated senior researcher with the Department of Anthropology at Maynooth University, and a Visiting Fellow at the University of Central Lancashire in the Maternal and Child Nutrition and Nurture unit, where she held her EU Horizon 2020 Marie Sklodowska Curie Award. As a Fulbright-HRB Health Impact Scholar, she will extend her ethnographic research on the potentiality of mother’s milk, borders and bioscience at the Department of Anthropology in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Professor Mary P. Corcoran Professor Mary P. Corcoran is Head of the Department of Sociology, and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Social Science at Maynooth University. As a Fulbright-EPA scholar she will undertake research on how civil society groups in partnership with municipalities act as change agentsto promote environmental stewardship and sustainability. Professor Corcoran will be based at the Great Hunger Institute, Quinnipiac University.
v ESTABLISH YOUR ELIGIBILITY 1. Irish Awards are open to Irish and EU Citizens (3+ years residency) 2. Demonstrate a strong rationale for where you are going to in the US. 3. Must comply with the 2-year home rule Visa requirement 4. Cannot be a dual US-Irish citizen 5. Cannot be living in the US at time of application 6. Cannot have recent extensive experience of studying or living in the US

v FULBRIGHT TECHIMPACT SCHOLAR AWARDS For Scholars or Professionals in any discipline using ICT Irish • Must possess a PhD or 3-5 years relevant Professional TechImpact experience Awards • Preference is given to early career researchers (PhD conferred since 2019) • Non-commercial research exploring transformative power of ICT • 2 weeks-3 months duration • Max Award: €11,000*
