SOST-CDTI, Spanish Office for Science & Technology SOST hoy… ❑ En 1994 se firma del convenio marco entre la CICYT y el CDTI para la creación de la “Oficina Española de Ciencia y Tecnología” en Bruselas → Actualmente, SOST es la oficina de CDTI en Bruselas. ❑ SOST está en primera línea de lo que acontece en temas de I+D+i europeos y ofrece, asesoramiento, información, opinión, apoyo logístico, lobby y formación tanto a CDTI, como a la Comunidad Científico-Tecnológica española (Empresas, OPIs Universidades, Fundaciones, Parques Tecnológicos, Centros Tecnológicos, etc.) ❑ Aunque SOST-CDTI se centra en H2020, también se monitorizan otros programas Europeos sinérgicos.

Después de la cumbre del Consejo Europeo en Julio, el presupuesto 2021 – 2027 de Horizonte Europa se vio recortado de manera significativa, pasando de una propuesta de la CE que rondaba los 95.000 millones de euros a un acuerdo en el que el presupuesto para HE se queda en 80.900M€ (75.900M€ + 5.000 M€).

Lo que es nuevo en los partnerships… Partnership Knowledge Hub (network of key actors) ❑ Task team composed of national, Commission and Partnership representatives Working level interactions and meetings to discuss the different work streams of the strategic coordinating process, including preparation of strategic discussions and the Partnership Stakeholder Forum, as well as monitoring, foresight and mutual learning activities. ❑ Intelligence and mutual learning activities to improve evidence-base and knowledge management, and to support partnerships and policy makers in addressing common policy/operational challenges (foresight and monitoring; mutual learning activities on cross-cutting issues, e.g. through the Policy Support Facility; online platform). ❑ Secretariat (in DG RTD) to coordinate and support the different work streams of the strategic coordinating process. Supported with a rotating system of seconded national experts from MS/AC.

The R&I Missions Connecting to citizens: Missions will relate EU's R&I Missions research and innovation to society and citizens' needs, with strong visibility and impact A mission will consist of a portfolio of actions intended to achieve a bold and inspirational as well as measurable goal within a set timeframe, with impact for science and technology, society and citizens that goes beyond individual actions. Horizon Europe proposal defines mission characteristics and criteria Specific missions will be co-designed with Member States, stakeholders and citizens and programmed within the Global Challenges and Industrial Competitiveness pillar (drawing on inputs from other pillars)

… Your proposals in practice ❑ Unless stated otherwise in the call topic conditions, the limit for a full application is 45 pages, except for coordination and support actions (CSA), where the limit is 30 pages and for programme co-fund actions (CoFund), where the limit is 70 pages without annexes. The limit for a first-stage application is 10 pages. → CHANGES AT LEVEL OF TEMPLATES!!!!! ❑ Significant changes at level of evaluation criteria → I.e.: Other ex-aequo criteria may appear, in addition of SMEs & gender balance, this is “geographical diversity”. → Discusión on the interpretation of “geographical diversity”! ❑ Pilot experience on “blind evaluation” = evaluación anónima en, p.e., convocatorias de 2-stage en 2021-2022. ❑ Mayores funcionalidades del Funding and Tenders Portal 72
