Junior Junior Homemakers Homemakers Kay Wolfe and Cherie Seadler have been working with the High School FCS teacher to recruit students to participate as junior homemakers. For now, junior members will pay a reduced dues fee of $7.50. This may change as the program develops. These students will be mailbox members and will be required (by their teacher) to attend and volunteer for various homemaker/Extension sponsored events throughout the year. The overall goal of this program is to promote the Homemaker Organization and show that we are not just homemakers and cookie bakers – we are leaders and community volunteers who seek out and provide educational opportunities for ourselves and our community! What we need from YOU – Kay and Cherie are looking for current members who might be interested in helping with this project. These individuals would be meeting with the FCS agent, student representative (or teacher), Kay, and Cherie to plan out activities and really shape what this program will look like for these students. Individuals may also play a bit of a mentoring role for student members, although that part of the program has not been solidified. Right now, we are looking for some help in planning and visioning for this project. If you’re interested, please let Natalie, Kay, or Cherie know! Guidelines for this program will be developed in December and presented for approval at the January council meeting. Council Council CORNER Here are your GCEH Council for 2021-2022.
