Welcome to Le Sueur-Henderson Community Education and the City of Le Sueur Recreation From Superintendent, Dr. Marlene M. Johnson August is here! It’s that time of year to begin thinking about the start of a new school year. It is my hope that your summer was filled with wonderful memory making activities along with some rest and relaxation as well. I feel very blessed to have been invited to be the superintendent of schools for the Le Sueur-Henderson school district. Bob, my husband and I moved to the district on June 18th and I officially began July 1. We have found the communities and district to be very friendly and welcoming. I can’t wait for the buildings to come alive with students and staff in just a short couple of weeks! Some of you may wonder what my philosophy of leading is like. In summary, I have a deep passion and dedication towards schools and communities the size of Le Sueur-Henderson. I believe in the high- quality education a district this size can offer. I believe in the great students that a district this size helps to develop. I believe in the collaboration opportunities that a district this size offers for staff, students, parents, and the community. I believe a district this size promotes a true educational family. I invite you to follow my blog at http://lshsuperintendentblog.edublogs.org/ Each week, I post a reflec- tion and a superintendent update. Sometimes I post pictures of various activities that I attended or par- ticipated in during the week. My e-mail is a bit different than the rest of the staff.
