D I S C OV E RY R O O M Case Study | Refresh A R BO R TE R R AC E ROS E L A N D Arbor Terrace Roseland wanted to update and freshen select amenity areas within the building including the memory care neighborhood on the 3rd floor. Meyer was engaged to design an open and flexible memory care dining room that included new lighting, furniture, cabinetry, countertops, paint, moulding DINING ROOM and window treatments. Other areas within the memory care neighborhood received refresh updates to the activity room, active lounge and passive lounge. Additional renovated amenity areas within the building included the art room, discovery room and a completely overhauled main dining room with new lighting, furniture, carpet, paint, moulding, and window treatments. Case Study | Reposition TH E V I RG I N I A N Meyer is currently working with Focus Healthcare Partners on renovating and reprogramming the Virginian Retirement Community in Fairfax, VA. The community is one large building, five-stories above ground and two-stories partially below grade. There are 316 units broken into 134 Independent Living (IL) units, 117 Assisted Living (AL) units, 11 Memory Care (MC) units and 54 Skilled Nursing (SN) units within the building. Meyer worked with the owner to reinvent each space with the building with new layouts and amenities based on market demand and the needs of seniors. The intent for the finished product is to have a Class A community that attracts residents due to the amenities offered and aesthetic beauty of the spaces. Studio, one-bedroom and two- bedroom apartments all have full kitchens and a host of amenities reminiscent of a luxury hotel. In fact, this property was once a Marriott Residence Inn that has been fully renovated as an independent living community for seniors. The community offers three restaurant-style meals a day in a beautiful dining room with access to an outdoor patio. The wow factor to the community is the two-story lobby with a full height fireplace and ample seating with open access to the bistro and sports bar. It has indoor and outdoor swimming pools with locker- room facilities, sauna, gym, movie theater, art studio, salon and barber shop and exquisitely furnished living and common areas.
