Exhibitors and visitors coming to the show by road from all directions are guided by expo signage positioned to ensure
you come straight to the grounds of Messezentrum Salzburg and avoid traffic build-ups in the inner city.
PLEASE NOTE: In Austria use of the motorways, motorway access and exit roads is subject to the purchase of a toll road sticker!
Guests can avoid the toll by entering Austria from the German border town of Freilassing. To do so – leave the German
A8 motorway at exit 115 and follow the B20 in the direction of Freilassing. Follow signs to Freilassing and then to
Salzburg. Follow Münchner Bundesstraße signs in the direction of the ‘centre’ of Salzburg until you reach the sign to turn

2ND VET AUSTRIA, 21ST & 22ND SEPTEMBER 2019 Arriving by train Salzburg’s central railway station is well integrated within the Austrian mainline rail network. The central railway station in Salzburg is also an official terminal for the German Federal Railways (DB) and can easily be reached when booking from Germany. The neighbouring region of Bavaria and the city of Munich are accessed using the regular local and mainline rail connections. Arriving by air Salzburg Airport W.A. Mozart is Austria’s second-largest airport. It is located around 4 km to the west of the city centre and approximately 6 km from the Messezentrum Salzburg venue. The expo centre can be easily reached in 10 minutes via the A1 motorway (toll road). Innsbrucker Bundesstraße is your toll-free alternative for reaching both the city centre – and Messezentrum Salzburg. The no. 2 and no. 10 buses take passengers into the inner city. The no.2 route travels via the central railway station and the no.10 bus goes straight to the city centre. Public transport From the city center (via the main train station) the Messe- zentrum Salzburg can be reached with the line 1 (terminus Messezentrum / Salzburg arena). An alternative is the line 7 (terminus Salzachsee), which stops in the „Bessarabier- straße“, from which the exhibition center can be reached in 5 minutes walk.
