area of action, focusing on the achievements of women as the protagonists. We show
stories of women from all over the world who give particular importance to cooking
and eating, participation and community individually, but of high social relevance.

Women in Western countries spend significantly less time on cooking than in the past
and cooking is no longer an immutable task for women. Occupation and a more open
division of labor between men and women have changed the daily routine and life-
style. No longer is the stove, but the fridge the center of the home kitchen. Cooking
becomes easier and more complicated at the same time: different nutritional styles
from organic, vegan to Stone Age. On the production side, multinational corporations
are above all concerned with strategies that can definitely be described as "boiled-out"
- land grabbing, patents on seeds and massive use of chemicals. The food industry
cares for, controls and addresses above all women as consumers. On the private side,
