The changeover will happen by December 2025, when the old technology will stop working but phone providers have already started work on switching over the network. When your phone provider contacts you to let you know the changover is taking place, please let them know you have a personal Lifeline unit in your property that uses your landline. You should also ask them for a free of charge battery backup unit, which keeps your Lifeline personal alarm working if there is a short power cut. The Supported Housing team will be in contact with all our Lifeline users to support you through the process. Please call the Supported Housing team with any questions or concerns on 01442 228347.
