Whether it is hiking on Whistler Mountain or exploring Whistler’s scenic lakes, there
are endless activities to keep you outside and enjoying the beautiful surroundings
when you are not attending sessions, the Exhibition, or planned meal/networking

Check out the par 72, 18-hole Audubon-certified championship golf course during
your leisure time. Book a golf tee time by calling (604) 938-2092, or online at

will shuttle you to the course, or you may walk across and down the street to the
course.
A hotel shuttle or courtesy vehicle will be available during your stay at the Fairmont
Chateau Whistler for convenient access to Whistler Village. Check with the Bellman or
concierge for shuttle hours of operation. This service is included as part of your resort
fee.
You may also walk to Whistler Village. The walk takes approximately 6 to 8 minutes
to/from the Fairmont. There is a lot to see and do in Whistler Village!
Daily yoga classes are available at the Fairmont. Attendees staying at the Fairmont

In these “special” times, it is necessary for us to publish the following Important Information. Please take time to read it. Please see an
NTDA staff member, any member of the Board of Directors, or our amazing volunteers if you have any questions during the 31st Annual
NTDA Convention. Our goal is to have a safe, fun, educational, world-class event at the beautiful Fairmont Chateau Whistler. If we can do
anything to assist you or to improve your experience, please do not hesitate to ask! Again, thank YOU for your continued support of the
Association and the Convention!
An Important Note About COVID Safety and Protocols
For safety and security, badges are required by the NTDA to attend of printing the Event Guide, masks were once again required in British

Whistler Medical Services:
The Whistler Health Care Centre (Vancouver Coastal Health) located at 4380 Lorimer Rd., Whistler, BC V8E 1A7, Canada, is a fully equipped
medical facility located less than a mile from the Fairmont. In case of illness or should you wish to visit a doctor, the Fairmont’s Guest Services
team can provide transportation to/from the clinic (depending on the severity of injury/illness). There is also an on-call doctor available who can
visit the hotel by request. Dial “5” from any house phone should you require medical attention. The hospital phone number is (604) 932-4911.
Fire and Emergency Procedures:
The Fairmont Chateau Whistler has been engineered to meet and exceed fire codes and is equipped with a wet/dry sprinkler system, heat/smoke
detectors, pull stations, and readily available fire extinguishers throughout the building. The Fairmont is one of the only hotels in Whistler to
monitor its fire system 24/7 and will respond immediately to an event in the hotel.
General Guest Security:
• While visiting the beautiful Whistler Village, we urge you to take the same care for your own security and safety as you would at home.
• Please remove all valuables from your vehicle (if you have one on-property). All guest rooms are equipped with electronic safes to store
your valuables during your visit.
• Keep your bedroom door locked. Please ensure your door is fully closed when leaving and entering the room, engage the deadbolt for
added security.
• The hotel will not disclose any personal information such as guest names or room numbers. The NTDA staff and volunteers cannot
provide you with attendee room information either.

Please note the legal drinking age in British Columbia is 19. No registrants under the category
of “Child 17 or Under” will be given drink tickets for alcohol. The resort may check ID for anyone
who appears under the legal drinking age.
Dress is business/resort casual. Fall attire, including flannel or plaid shirts, are perfectly fine
for this event! The Street Fair will take place outdoors on a cobblestone walkway so wear flat,
comfortable shoes! We will have outdoor heaters at the Street Fair. However, evenings can be
cooler so bring a jacket just in case. During the first week of October, the daytime highs are
typically in the low 60s (Fahrenheit), while overnight lows can dip to the mid- to upper -30s.
Layering is recommended to stay comfortable. This year was unseasonably warm throughout
the summer so it is hard to predict the fall temperatures.

will receive your test results in about 20–30 minutes. You will be given a print out of your results to take with you to present to your airline and/or at
Customs. Your test result must be NEGATIVE. There will be a discounted fee for on-site testing. You will be able to pay by credit card on-site for your test.
(Unfortunately, most insurances do not cover COVID testing out of the country.) Attendees are responsible for scheduling their own COVID testing
and payment for any testing and/or for any medical treatment.
It is also very easy to book testing online at the airport of your choice. Please note that the average fee for a rapid antigen COVID test performed at an
airport is around $140 USD, which is more than you will pay on-site at the Convention. To schedule a rapid antigen COVID test an at airport, visit
https://covid-medical.ca/yvr-rapid-testing/, select your airport, then select a test time slot, and pay for your test in advance with a credit card.

This year, eight-time Canadian Long Drive Champion Lisa “Longball” Vlooswyk will be on-hand for the “Pro Drive” contest.
Vlooswyk will be stationed on Hole 1 hit balls for you and help you get a birdie or an eagle. All funds raised on this hole will
go to the NTDA Scholarship Program.

Bag Handling:
When you check into the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, please leave your golf bags with Guest Services, ensuring that your name is on the bag.
Their team will place an identification tag on it and safely store it until the day of the tournament, at which time all bags will automatically be
transferred to the course and staged on your golf cart. The valet staff will pull your bag if you are playing on the course earlier in the week as well.
Please let Guest Services know your intentions with your golf bag at check-in. If you are renting golf clubs, your rental clubs (and rental shoes
if applicable) will be placed on your cart the morning of the Tournament.
Golf Dress Code:
Men must wear a collared shirt and Bermuda-length shorts or pants. Ladies must have a collar on their top. Shorts or skirts of appropriate length
are allowed. NOT allowed on the course: denim, tank tops, t-shirts, cut-offs, athletic shorts, and metal spikes.
