Council on Aging Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio (COA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing quality of life for older adults, people with disabilities, their families and caregivers. We promote choice, independence, dignity and well-being through a range of services that help people remain in their homes for as long as possible. COA plans, coordinates and administers local, state and federally-funded programs and services for older adults, people with disabilities and caregivers in Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton and Warren counties. Schools and University Congratulations to all involved at Evanston Evanston Academy and Alliance Academy of Academy, a neighborhood Vision 2020 school Cincinnati had the most Evanston residents and Walnut Hills High School earning an overall enrolled, with 258 and 111 respectively. Evanston Food Pantry The impact of COVID-19 is taking its toll on incomes and many can’t afford to go to the grocery store as they did before. The Evanston Community Council is doing what we can to help the over 8,000 people who reside our family-friendly neighborhood. 1,300 families were served from 30 zip codes in June 2020 Thank you Free Store Food Bank, HealthPath Evanston Employment Foundation of Ohio for the summer 2020 food support operational funding and The Greater Resource Center Cincinnati Foundation for 2020 – 2021 food support funding The Evanston Employment Resource Center empowers individuals to improve employment opportunities by connecting them to community wide employment resources and social services. The EERC will host employment-related informational programs and workshops and provide access to computers, internet access and copy machine to support an individual’s search for employment.
