EphMRA UK online meeting 23 and 24 March 2021 Speaker bios David Wright, Hello Ara, Conversational AI Market Research David Wright is the AI Director for Hello Ara. Born in New Zealand, but based in London, he has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Canterbury and spent the last 8 years at Kantar as Technical Innovation and Conversational AI Lead. David spent the last 4 years developing Conversational AI market research, focussing on R&D of the whole research process and AI tools to develop and refine this exciting new way of doing research. Oren Wesler, Wikistrat Oren Kesler has been with Wikistrat for the past 10 years, and he has been the company’s CEO for the past 2 years. Prior to that, he was the company’s Director of Operations, responsible for the development of products and crowdsourcing methodology. Oren is also an Adjunct Professor at the Tel Aviv University executive MBA program, where he teaches on the value and use of knowledge communities.
EphMRA UK online meeting 23 and 24 March 2021 Speaker bios Jay Subramanian, Leo Pharma Jay Subramanian, is the global MR lead for atopic dermatitis at LEO Pharma. She is an experienced market research and insights professional whose career has spanned many big and small pharma companies. She had been in global and US insights roles spanning the full life cycle of brands from early development, launch, new indications/ formulations/ line extensions and Rx-to-OTC. She has strong analytics and primary MR experiences among HCP, patients and payers. Jay has a Masters in Information Management from Syracuse University as well as an MBA (Marketing) & BS (Business and Accounting) from India. She is a strategic advisor to the Seton Hall University’s Market Research Program and a champion for diversity and inclusion. Dani Heywood, Branding Science Dani Heywood is the President of Branding Science, a consultancy and market research agency that supports clients by informing the brand strategy all along the lifecycle of a product, from early market understanding to positioning through development of communication platforms. She established the US arm of the business in 2011 after 9 years in the industry at another market research agency and 5 years at Unilever. Dani holds a BSc and PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Leeds University in the UK and prides herself on blending high-level scientific understanding with a commercial background. She is a Vistage member with a strong drive to improve Leadership skills across her organization and is on the board of the Seton Hall Leadership program development.

She is also an award winning, critically acclaimed Movement Director and Body Coach. Her work stretches from the Entertainment Industry to the Business and Corporate world. Her work has taken her from the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympics Games to the West End, Broadway and International tours. The BBC, Cbeebies and Amazon Prime have all called upon her expertise. She also works with small businesses, large corporations and individuals aiming to improve their communication skills, refine authenticity and trust and generate more business. Lucy has years of experience helping professional women and men harness their own physical capabilities to get what they want from their business relationships. This is far more than just ‘body language tips‘. With over 14 years experience and practise, and with clients ranging from the Legal, Financial, Recruitment and Education sectors to TV presenters and ‘Sting’, she is delighted to share these skills with you. Elizabeth Kehler, Adelphi Research Elizabeth is Managing Director of Adelphi Research, leading our European based team. She has been with Adelphi for over 10 years and has worked in the industry of strategic communications and market insights for more than 25 years. Elizabeth has held roles over those years that have given her the opportunity to work in situ across a number of global hubs, including New York, Hong Kong, Singapore and, for the past fifteen, years in Europe. She has led Adelphi Research’s relationships with some of the world’s largest pharma organisations and enjoyed many innovative engagements with these teams. As a design thinking practitioner Elizabeth is energised by the unknowns and possibilities that are part of strategic challenges and creative problem solving.

Kirsty is passionate about developing new techniques that can add real value to research and engaging clients. Kirsty has over 12 years’ experience in global pharmaceutical market research across a wide range of methodologies. Kirsty has a background in Health Psychology and is known for her creative flair. Kirsty leads our Prism™ team, focussing on application of Behavioural, Psychological and Social models to elevate insights. She has been integral to Adelphi’s success in not only coming up with smart ideas, but also ensuring they are implemented in a way that adds to the high-quality tools and skills that are at our disposal. Roberto Cortese, Elma Research Highly accomplished and inquisitive individual with successful track record in delivering high quality insight programmes at a global scale. Gregg has over 14 years’ experience working in insights across a range of Pharma & Healthcare clients, with experience conducting research projects in over 25 different countries. As a qualified psychologist, Gregg has a passion for understanding people and how to creatively motivate behaviour. Gregg has a penchant for strategic story-telling and enjoys bridging the human context and lived experience with helping organisations grow. Rhoda Schmuecking, Ipsos MORI Rhoda Schmuecking is head of Ipsos’ Virology & Vaccines Centre of Expertise and also oversees all Ipsos’ non-oncology healthcare syndicated services, including those currently running in virology and vaccines. She has over 25 years of experience in global healthcare market research, 20 of which have been focused on Ipsos’ Real World Evidence dataset. Rhoda has been a member of the EphMRA Data & Systems Committee since 2018.
EphMRA UK online meeting 23 and 24 March 2021 Speaker bios Danniel Wain, Daniel Wain Consulting Daniel Wain specialises in learning and development consultancy, and trains and coaches in a range of business, communication and relationship skills, both within the insight industry and more widely. He is a Fellow of the Market Research Society (MRS), Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, as well as a full member of ESOMAR, the Society of Authors, the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain and the UK actors’ union Equity. He started his business career as a market researcher 30 years ago, specialising in customer satisfaction, service measurement and mystery customer research. He then spent several successful years as a business developer, working for clients as varied as Audi, Boots, Royal Mail, Transport for London, Virgin and Unilever, before becoming Worldwide Director of Learning & Development at Research International, responsible for developing and driving RI’s L&D strategy across its global network of 56 offices. Since founding Daniel Wain Consulting Limited in 2007, his clients have included most of the global market research agencies, as well as a wide range of smaller consultancies both within the UK and internationally.
