General information General information Reading and storing the assembly instructions These assembly instructions are a part of the Dual Fuel Barbecue (hereinafter simply called "product"). They contain important information about assembly and use. Read the assembly instructions carefully, in particular the safety instructions, before using the product. Failure to follow these assembly instructions may lead to severe injuries or product damage. The assembly instructions are based on the standards and regulations that are valid within the European Union. Outside the EU, please also note the country-specific directives and laws. Keep the assembly instructions for future reference. If you pass this product on to a third party, you must also supply the assembly instructions. Intended use The barbecue is exclusively intended for outdoor use to cook, broil or heat food. It is exclusively intended for private use and not for the commercial sector. Only use the barbecue as described in these assembly instructions. Any other use is considered improper and may lead to product damage or even personal injury. Do not modify the barbecue. The barbecue is not a toy. The manufacturer or retailer assumes no liability for damage caused by improper or incorrect use. Parts sealed by the manufacturer or the agent may not be manipulated by the user. Explanation of symbols The following symbols are used in these assembly instructions, on the product or on the packaging. This symbol provides you with useful additional information on handling and use. Declaration of conformity (see chapter “Declaration of conformity”): Products marked with this symbol meet all the applicable Community regulations of the European Economic Area. The symbol "GS" stands for tested safety. Products marked with this symbol comply with the requirements of the German Product Safety Act (ProdSG). 7
Safety Safety WARNING! Do not use the barbecue in a confined and/or habitable space e.g. houses, tents, caravans, motor homes, boats. Danger of carbon monoxide poisoning fatality. The following signal words are used in these assembly instructions. This signal symbol/word denotes a hazard with WARNING! an average risk level that could lead to death or severe injury if it is not avoided. This signal symbol/word denotes a hazard with a CAUTION! low risk level that could lead to mild or moderate injury if it is not avoided. This signal word provides a warning about NOTE! potential material damage. Safety notes General Safety Notes - WARNING! This barbecue will become very hot, do not move it during operation. - Do not use indoors! - Do not use this grill under any overhead combustible construction. - WARNING! Do not use spirit or petrol for lighting or re-lighting! Use only firelighters complying to EN 1860-3! - Do not use this grill within 1.5 m of any combustible material. Combustible materials include, but are not limited to, wood or treated wood decks, patios, and porches. - Use heat-resistant barbecue mitts or gloves (conforming to EN 407, Contact Heat rating level 2 or greater) while cooking, adjusting air vents (dampers), adding charcoal, and handling thermometer or lid. - Use proper tools, with long, heat-resistant handles. - Do not use water to extinguish burning fat. Close the lid and air vents to remove all oxygen from the flame. 8
Safety - Never dump hot charcoal or ashes where it might be stepped on or be a fire hazard. - Never dump ashes or charcoal before they are fully extinguished. - Allow the barbecue to cool down completely before cleaning it. - During use, the screw connections can loosen and adversely affect the stability of the barbecue. Verify the strength of screw connections before each use. If necessary, tighten all screws again to ensure a firm footing. Risks for persons - This barbecue may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience or knowledge if they have been supervised or instructed in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the risks arising. - Keep packaging film, styrofoam, or small parts away from children. Danger of suffocation! - WARNING! Keep children and pets away! - The barbecue will be hot during cooking, and should never be left unattended. - Do not wear clothing with loose flowing sleeves while lighting or using the barbecue. - Never bend over the hot barbecue during grilling. - The use of alcohol, prescription, or nonprescription drugs may impair the consumer’s ability to properly assemble or safely operate the barbecue. - Never touch metal parts. They may be very hot. - Touch the barbecue only on the handles. - The barbecue may have sharp edges where you could cut yourself. Use working gloves when unpacking, assembling, cleaning and maintaining the barbecue. Safety notes for gas grill - WARNING: Turn off the gas supply at the gas cylinder after use. - WARNING: Gas cylinders must be stored outdoors out of the reach of children and must not be stored in a building, garage or any other enclosed space. - WARNING: After a period of storage and/or nonuse, the barbecue should be checked for gas leaks and burner obstructions before use. - Do not store or use petrol or other flammable liquids or vapours in the vicinity of this barbecue or any other appliance. - Do not store unconnected gas cylinders in the vicinity of this barbecue or any other appliance. - Storage of the barbecue indoors is permissible only if the gas cylinder is disconnected and removed from the barbecue. Before use - Keep the barbecue on a secure, level surface at all times, clear of combustible material. - Do not place the barbecue close to entrances or busy areas, such as roads. - The barbecue must not be transported while it is still hot! 9
Safety - Do not use the barbecue with liquid fuels. - Be prepared for a fire or an accident. Always have a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit ready. - Max. fuel capacity: 1.0 kg of charcoal. Instructions for lighting - Build a pyramid of charcoal in the centre of the charcoal grate and insert a couple of lighter cubes according to EN 1860-3 within the pyramid. - Always put charcoal on top of the charcoal (lower) grid. Do not put charcoal directly in the bottom of the bowl. - Light the charcoal in an area protected from wind. - Use a long match or lighter, light the lighter cubes. - It is recommended that the barbecue be heated up and the charcoal kept red hot, with the lid on, for at least 30 minutes prior to cooking for the first time. - After ca. 20 minutes the charcoal is fully lit when it is covered with a coating of white ash. Then spread the charcoal evenly across the charcoal grid. - Do not cook before the charcoal has a coating of ash. Assembly instruction CAUTION! Risk of injury! Some parts of the barbecue might have sharp edges. Touching these parts can cause cuts. - Wear protective gloves! Use the following instructions and graphics to assemble the barbecue: - Complete each assembly step in the given order. Do not skip any step. - Do not fully tighten the nuts and bolts before assembling all the parts. At least two adults are required to assemble the barbecue Wear protective gloves during assembly. 10

Assembly instruction Step 2: Assemble the Frame 2 34 38 39 48 50 50 10 1. Connect the four legs ( 37 , 40 , 46 , 47 ) with the short struts 38 . Connecting elements: 4 × Screw M6×15 BB . Make sure the legs are in the correct direction. 2. Fix the long struts 34 to the legs. Connect 8 × Screw M6×15 BB to the long strut holes on the four legs. Do not fasten it. Go through the key hole (Direction: big hole down) to hang the long strut on the screw. Then fasten the screws. 3. Fix the bottle opener 39 to right front leg. Connecting elements: 2 × Screw M6×15 BB . 13
Assembly instruction Step 3: Assemble the Wheels 3 49 13 44 45 43 1. Insert the axle 44 through the holes at the bottom of the left legs. 2. Put the wheels 45 on the ends of the axle. 3. Fix the wheels to the axle. Connecting elements: 2 × Lock Nut M8 and plastic washer AA . 4. Fix the hub caps 43 to the wheels. 14

Assembly instruction Step 7: Attach Support for Burners 7 27 48 1. Attach support for burners 27 to the left rear of the bowl. Connecting elements: 2 × Screw M6×15 BB . 18
Assembly instruction Step 8: Install Burners 8 48 26 1,0 1. Put the open end of the pipe burners 26 (marking "UP" face on top) onto the valve. 2. Put the closed end of the pipe burners onto the support for burners. 3. Fix the pipe burners to the support for burners. Connecting elements: 3 × Screw M6×15 BB . Assembly instruction Step 9: Attach Hinges to the Bowl 9 5 48 50 10 1. Attach the hinges 5 (with marking "DOWN" on the hinge) to the rear of the bowl. Assembly instruction Step 10: Assemble the Lids 10 1 3 2 48 6 7 4 1. Remove the nuts from thermometers 1 . 2. Insert the sensor of thermometer into the lid of gas grill 2 . 3. Fix thermometer to lid of gas grill with nut. 4. Attach lid handle 7 and bases of lid handle 6 to lid of gas grill. Connecting elements: 2 × Screw M6×20 II and Flat Washer JJ . 5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 for lid of charcoal grill 4 . 6. Attach chimney 3 to lid of charcoal grill. Assembly instruction Step 11: Attach Hinges to Lids 11 5 48 50 10 2 4 1. Attach the hinges (with marking "UP" on the hinge) to the rear of the lid of gas grill 2 and the lid of charcoal grill 4 . Assembly instruction Step 12: Connect Halves of the Hinges 12 LL 1. Take the bolts (6x35) with spring split pins LL and pull out the spring split pins. 2. Connect the top and bottom halves of the hinges by inserting the bolts through the holes. 3. Put the sping split pins back into the bolts. 23
Assembly instruction Step 13: Attach Side Burner and Shelf 13 36 35 33 48 1. Attach the side burner 33 to the left legs. Connecting elements: 4 × Step Screw GG . The side burner is not foldable. 2. Attach the hooks 36 to the front of the foldable shelf 35 . 3 × Screw M6×12 HH . 3. Attach the foldable shelf to the right legs. Connecting elements: 4 × Step Screw GG . 24
Assembly instruction Step 14: Insert Gas Nozzle into the Gas Inlet 14 22 33 20 21 1. Remove the nut of nozzle 22 at the end of the gas pipe 20 attached to the gas control panel 23 . 2. Put the gas nozzle through the hole of the holder of the gas nozzle at the side burner 33 . 3. Put the nut over the gas nozzle and insert the gas nozzle into the gas inlet of the side burner. 4. Tighten the nut. 5. Connect the spade connector of the ignition cable 21 attached to the gas control panel with the side burner. 25
Assembly instruction Step 15: Attach Warming Racks 15 32 8 Two warming racks are included in the scope of delivery. These differ in size. The larger one is the gas grill warming rack 32 , the smaller one is the charcoal grill warming rack 8 . 1. Attach the gas grill warming rack 32 to the lid of the gas grill 2 by inserting the rod at the grid through the holes in the lid. The ridge of the warming rack faces up and back. 2. Insert the ends of the supports of the warming rack into the holes in the upper folds of the bowl 25 and the divider 28 . 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 with the charcoal grill warming rack 8 on the right side. 26
Assembly instruction Step 16: Prepare the Barbecue 16 10 12 29 26 13 18 18 1. Place the heat plates 29 on the bars above the burners. 2. Put the knobs 18 onto the valve rods. 3. Attach the handles 12 to the outside of the charcoal tray 13 . 4. Hang the charcoal tray with the handles on the supports. 5. Place the charcoal grid 10 in the charcoal bowl. 27
Assembly instruction Step 17: Place Cooking Grids 17 31 9 1. Place the charcoal grill cooking grids 9 (notches for the handles for charcoal tray) on the right side of the bowl. 2. Place the gas grill cooking grids 31 (no notches) on the left side of the bowl. 28
Assembly instruction Step 18: Install Gas Hose 18 24 19 1. Slide the grease tray 24 into the support for grease tray 16 . 2. Attach the gas hose with pressure regulator 19 to the connector. Lock the screw of the clamp tightly. Use WARNING! Risk of burns This barbecue will become very hot! Touching may cause burn injuries. - Use heat-resistant barbecue mitts or gloves (conforming to EN 407, Contact Heat rating level 2 or greater) while cooking, adjusting air vents (dampers), adding charcoal, and handling thermometer or lid. - Use proper tools, with long, heat-resistant handles. 29
Use - Never touch the cooking or charcoal grid, ashes, charcoal, or the grill to see if they are hot. - Let the steam escape first, if you open the lid. - WARNING! Keep children and pets away! WARNING! Risk of fire The barbecue will be hot during cooking! Combustible materials nearby may ignite. - Do not use indoors! - Do not use under roofed areas. - Make sure there are no combustible fumes or liquids, such as petrol, alcohol, etc., in the vicinity of the barbecue, - Do not use this grill within 1.5 m of any combustible material. Combustible materials include, but are not limited to, wood or treated wood decks, patios, and porches. - Do not use grill in high winds. - Have a fire extinguisher ready. The First Time You Grill 1. Before first use clean all parts to come into contact with foodstuffs especially the cooking grid 9 / 31 and the warming grid 8 / 32 , according to chapter “Cleaning”. 2. It is recommended that the barbecue be heated up and the charcoal kept red hot, with the lid on, for at least 30 minutes prior to cooking for the first time. Regulator and hose Use only regulators and hose approved for LPG at the above pressures (See "Technical data"). The life expectancy of the regulator is estimated as 3 years. It is recommended that the regulator is changed within 3 years of the date of manufacture. The use of the wrong regulator or hose is unsafe; always check that you have the correct items before operating the barbecue. The hose used must conform to the relevant standard for the country of use. The length of the hose must be 1.5 m (maximum). Worn or damaged hose must be replaced. Ensure that the hose is not obstructed, kinked, or in contact with any part of the barbecue other than at its connection. The hose should not be twisted or kinked when attached to the gas 30
Use cylinder. No part of the hose should touch any part of the appliance. So site the cylinder out to the left hand side of the appliance at the maximum distant permitted by the hose length. Connecting the gas cylinder to the appliance This product is only suitable for use with low-pressure butane or propane gas and fitted with the appropriate lowpressure regulator via a flexible hose. The hose should be secured to the regulator and the appliance with hose clips. This barbecue is set to operate a 28 mbar regulator with butane gas or a 37mbar regulator with propane gas or a regulator with butane/propane mixture at 30mbar. Use a suitable regulator certified to BS EN 16129-2013. Please consult your LPG dealer for information regarding a suitable regulator for the gas cylinder. Checking for leaks WARNING! - Never check for leaks with a naked flame, always use a soapy water solution. 1. Make 2-3 fluid ounces of leak detecting solution by mixing one part washing up liquid with 3 parts water. 2. Ensure the control valve is "OFF". 3. Connect the regulator to the cylinder and ON/OFF valve to the burner, ensure the connections are secure then turn ON the gas. 4. Brush the soapy solution on to the hose and all joints. If bubbles appear you have a leak, which must be rectified before use. 5. Retest after fixing the fault. Turn OFF the gas at the cylinder after testing. 6. If detected leakage cannot be rectified, do not attempt to cure leakage but consult your gas dealer. Lighting your barbecue Charcoal Lighting Instructions 1. Open the hood of charcoal grill and leave it open during lighting procedure. 2. Remove the charcoal grill cooking grid. 3. Set the charcoal tray to middle height position. 4. Pour up to 1.0 kg of regular charcoal briquettes into charcoal tray and arrange into a pile. Make sure charcoal does not go above the cooking grid. 31
Use 5. Light charcoal briquettes. A specially made steel charcoal lighting starter may be used though only by following the manufacturer’s instructions and used with great care. DO NOT overload the charcoal starter. 6. Once briquettes are glowing, set the charcoal tray to desired cooking position and replace the charcoal grill cooking grid. 7. Do not cook before the fuel has a coating of ash. 8. The grill shall be heated up and the charcoal kept red hot for at least 30 minutes prior to the first cooking. Integrated ignition WARNING! Risk of a sting flame or explosion of unignited gas/air mixture! The resident gas/air mixture of a previously failed ignition can be ignited and can lead to a sting flame or explosion. - If any burner fails to ignite, turn the control knob off (clockwise) and also turn the cylinder valve off. Wait five minutes before attempting to relight with ignition sequence. Gas Main Burner Lighting Instructions 1. Open the hood of gas grill before lighting. 2. Connect the gas cylinder to the barbecue following the instructions supplied with the regulator. 3. Turn all the control knobs to the ‘OFF’ position. 4. Turn ‘ON’ the gas supply at the cylinder or regulator switch following the regulator connection and operating instructions. Check the cylinder to regulator connection and hose to barbecue hose inlet connection for leakage using soapy water. Any leakage will show as bubbles in the area of the leak. If leak is found do not use the barbecue. Consult your gas or barbecue supplier for advice. 5. To light the left hand burner, push down and turn the left burner control knob anticlockwise to the 90° position (full rate position). An audible click will be heard, this should light the burner. Check that the burner is alight. If the burner has not lit, repeat this process. If the burner has not lit after two attempts, turn ‘OFF’ the gas tap and wait 5 minutes before retrying the ignition sequence. 32
Use 6. When the burner has lit, the burner rate can be adjusted by pushing down and turning the knob anticlockwise to any position between the full and low rate position. 7. Light the remaining burners from left to right in sequence. 8. To turn ‘OFF’ the barbecue, turn the cylinder valve or regulator switch to the ‘OFF’ position by following the regulator instructions. Once the burners have extinguished turn all the control knobs to the ‘OFF’ position. Gas Side Burner Lighting Instruction Once the grill burner has been lit, the side burner can be lit by following the instructions below. 1. Open the side burner lid before lighting the side burner and turn the side burner control knob to the ‘OFF’ position. 2. Push down the side burner control knob and keep pressing whilst turning anticlockwise to the full rate position, an audible click will be heard, this will light the burner. If the burner does not light, repeat this process. If the burner has not lit after two attempts, turn ‘OFF’ the gas tap and wait 5 minutes before retrying the ignition sequence. 3. When the burner has lit, the burner rate can be adjusted by push down and turn the knob anticlockwise to any position between the full and low rate position. 4. To turn ‘OFF’ the barbecue, turn the cylinder valve or regulator switch to the ‘OFF’ position by following the regulator instructions. Once the burners have extinguished turn all the control knobs to the ‘OFF’ position. Manual ignition If necessary this barbecue can be lit manually. Main Burners 1. Open the hood before lighting. 2. Light a 90mm barbecue match. Hold the match to the burner at the left end of the barbecue. 3. Turn the left burner control knob to the full rate position. The burner will light from the match. 4. Once the left burner is lit, the burner next to it can be turned on and will light off the lit burner. 5. Light remaining burners from left to right by the crosslighting channel. 6. When the burner has lit, the burner rate can be adjusted by pushing down and turning the knob anticlockwise to any position between the full and low rate position. Side Burner 33
Use 1. Open the lid before lighting. 2. If the igniter fails to spark, use a match to light burner. Cleaning WARNING! Risk of burns This barbecue will become very hot! Touching may cause burn injuries. - Allow the barbecue to cool completely before cleaning! Clean the cooled barbecue after each use. Discoloration on the air vents, the lid, the charcoal grate and other parts are normal signs of use and are neither hygienically questionable nor a defect. Do not use flammable or aggressive detergents, steel brushes, abrasives, or other hard objects that could scratch the surfaces. Do not remove ashes until all charcoal is completely burned out and fully extinguished and barbecue is cool. Outside surface Use mild detergent or baking soda and hot water solution. Nonabrasive scouring powder can be used on stubborn tains, then rinse with water. If the inside surface of the barbecue lid has the appearance of pealing paint, baked on grease build up has turned to carbon and is flaking off. Clean thoroughly with strong hot soapy water solution. Rinse with water and allow to completely dry. NEVER USE OVEN CLEANER! Interior of barbecue bottom Remove residue using brush, scraper and/or cleaning pad then wash with a soapy water solution. Rinse with water and allow dry it. Plastic surfaces Wash with a soft cloth and hot soapy water solution. Rinse with water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, degreasers or a concentrated barbecue cleaner on plastic parts. Cooking grid Use a mild soapy water solution. Nonabrasive scouring powder can be used on stubborn stains then rinse with water. 34
Cleaning Grease tray Please do not pull out the grease tray during use. After the grease tray is cold, pull out the grease tray in horizontal line. Burner assembly 1. Turn the gas OFF at the control knob and disconnect the cylinder. 2. Remove cooling grate. 3. Clean the burner with a soft brush or blow clean with compressed air and wipe with a cloth. 4. Clean any clogged ports with a pipe cleaner or stiff wire (such as an opened paper clip). 5. Inspect burner for any damage (cracks or holes). If damage is found, replace with a new burner. Reinstall the burner, check to ensure that the Gas valve orifices are correctly positioned and secured inside the burner inlet (venturi). In some cases your barbecue will light-back because of an insect crawling inside the burner venturi or a spider spinning its web inside the burner. This can be rectified by using a bottle brush inserted through the burner venturi and pushing it into the burner over the burner length. If condition persists consult your gas dealer. Maintenance Your barbecue should be serviced annually by a competent registered person. Storage 1. Allow the barbecue to cool completely and clean it according to chapter “Cleaning”. 2. Use handle and wheels to relocate the barbecue. 3. Check the strength of the fittings. If necessary, tighten screws to ensure a firm footing. 4. Clean the barbecue and allow it to dry completely. 5. Only cover the BBQ when it is raining to avoid waterlogging. 6. Store the barbecue at a dry place protected from the elements when not in use. Storage of the barbecue indoors is only permissible if the cylinder is disconnected and removed from the barbecue. 35
