DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL DIWALI WEEK REPORT 2020- 2021 “Diyas to enjoy life, Sweets to sweeten success and Worship to thank GOD”. Diwali is one of the biggest India’s festivals . It is known as festival of lights and is celebrated by people of all religions with joy. During Diwali people light up their house and shops with diyas. They worship the lord Ganesha for welfare and prosperity and Goddess Laxmi for wealth and wisdom. Diwali is also celebrated to mark the return of lord Rama after 14 years of exile and his victory over the demon Ravana. Diwali celebrations at the Delhi Public School, Ferozepur illuminated everyone’s heart with joy
and fervor. The week long celebrations comprised a bunch of exhilarating activities for the students. For , this educators informed the learners a few days prior regarding the celebration and explained the parents how we used to celebrate this festival in school but this year we celebrated it in different way. And also informed about the material is required for the respective activities. On, Tuesday educators took the session and kids were ready with their materials. The educators were happy to see the efforts of the parents. They also decorated the area. In grade Pre-Nursery and Nursery learners made Diwali greetings card and paper lamp during the session they were very happy to make it. Children were very excited and they wore traditional dress. Grade Prep -1st Children of Grade Prep-1 demonstrated their joy for ' DIWALI ' through poem recitation. The adorable learners recited poems with zest and zeal. The striking point was that most of the children recited about ' Green Diwali '. It has really shown the glimpse of their understanding that Diwali is not only all about crackers . There are many other ways to share and spread happiness all around. Memories forever…

Grade 9th and 10th The activity was an initiative to open up the minds of children so that they become aware about the consequences of the use of crackers during this festive season. Children were quite imaginative and participated well in the activity. Along with their participation with enthusiasm. They also had in their mind that mother nature has given us alot and is taking care of us in every possible way. Now it's our turn to be responsible and save our mother nature so that all lead a safe and healthy life. With the same thought the activity was performed and went off well.
