4 MISSION STATEMENT, GOALS, RESULTS THE TELLURIDE FIRE FESTIVAL IS: An enduring, extraordinary, interactive, sculptural and performing fire arts event that provides a platform for fire artists, entertains, and educates. The Festival and their sponsors were promoted utilizing a variety of media throughout the year using, social media, newspapers, the Festival DECEMBER website. PR, posters, mailings, emails to the Festival database, online calendars, visittelluride.com, radio giveaways, ticket donations to other 6–8 nonprofits to get the word out, enewsletters, and eblast collaborations with partners and other like-minded events—including the Telluride Ski & Golf Company, TMVOA, Telluride Arts, Town of Mountain Village, and Burning Man. The Festival purchased more newspaper and magazine advertising in the regional drive market due to the early December dates to gain more attendees from the surrounding region.
