Welcome to ConnectED, a well established Teaching School Alliance led by Barrow CEVC Primary School in Suffolk. The Alliance is proud to be able to support teaching, learning and leadership in schools across Suffolk and beyond. Bringing together the broad range of expertise, experience, and talent from our partnership schools and strategic partners, our aim is to make a significant contribution to raising standards in schools; leading to excellent outcomes for all the children in the region. Our programme for Spring 2020, offers a range of high-quality twilight, half-day and full-day CPLD opportunities. Our varied programme supports teachers, middle and senior leaders, teaching assistants and others working within schools to improve their knowledge and skills and to have a positive impact on their future practice. Details of our events for this term are available within this brochure. Also included, at the back of the brochure, is a brief preview of our programme for Summer 2020. If you would like to register your interest for any of our Summer courses please contact us to let us know. Courses and events take place in a variety of venues. These include ConnectED’s training room at Barrow CEVC Primary within West Suffolk. We also provide events which are hosted by Ipswich High School in the South of the county and at Chilton Primary in Mid-Suffolk. In Norfolk, training takes place at Diamond Academy in Thetford. We offer bespoke training to individual, or groups of, schools in response to local needs. Following the course/event date our finance team will: For academies and Local Authority Schools outside of Suffolk - Raise an invoice and send this via email or post. Payments can then be made via cheque or BACS For Suffolk Local Authority Schools— charge your school via Journal Transfer. 3) Do I need to bring anything with me on a training course? During the two weeks prior to the course date, delegates are sent an email providing further information about the course. This email includes directions to the venue, any information that you may need to bring to the event, details of parking arrangements and the refreshments that will be provided. When you arrive at the training you will receive a delegate pack with information including hand-outs and a pen. Refreshments will be made available at the venue. 4) I booked a place on a course but I am unfortunately now unable to attend, what do I do? Please contact us via email (admin@connectedtsa.org) or by telephone (01284 810032/01284 810223) as soon as you are aware that you will be unable to attend the course. Cancellations made 2 weeks prior to the scheduled start of the course will not be charged. However, any cancellations in the last two weeks before a course will be charged at the full cost of the course. If a booking is cancelled after the first session or if you fail to attend a course, the full cost of the course remains payable. If you wish to transfer a place to a colleague to avoid losing the cost of a course, please notify admin@connectedtsa.org before the start date.
