(SARVRA) SARVRA is a volunteer-run association that provides information, education, advocacy and support to people living in a retirement village in South Australia. Part of our role includes making contact with other organisations and businesses that operate within the broader retirement living industry. Therefore, it is with much appreciation to the publishers of Australian Over 50s Living and Lifestyle Guide who have made available this eBook for us to distribute to our members. In these difficult and uncertain times, we are all looking for practical and well-researched information that will help us to stay safe at home. This eBook is an excellent resource, written in easy to understand language but offering many practical tips about everything we need to consider as we remain in isolation within our own homes. CORONAVIRUS SURVIVAL GUIDE ISOLATION GUIDANCE The requirements for who must self-isolate, are changing by the day and may differ according to which state you are located. You should refer to government sites to understand the exact requirements and guidelines. Broadly, however, the latest advice is to stay at home unless it is absolutely necessary to go out. This means that many Australians should currently be self-isolating.
11 STAY AT HOME OR IN YOUR HOTEL If you are isolating because you have arrived from overseas, you will be taken to your quarantine hotel. If, however, you are isolating for another reason, when travelling home or to your hotel to start isolation use personal transport, such as a car, to minimise exposure to others. If you need to use public transport (e.g. taxis, ride-hail services, trains, buses and trams), follow the precautions outlined in the public transport guide at www.health.gov.au/covid19- resources During 14 days of isolation, you must stay at home or in your hotel and EPOUHPUPQVCMJDQMBDFTJODMVEJOH work, school, childcare, university or public gatherings.
