CONFERENCE PROGRAM - Distinctive in Healthcare Advocacy and Leadership - American Osteopathic Association
WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION

The American Osteopathic Association (AOA) is pleased to host
DO Day - Distinctive in Healthcare Advocacy and Leadership.
This premier osteopathic advocacy event offers virtual leadership
and professional development CME and sessions for physicians,
affiliate leaders and students and in-person advocacy opportunities to
educate lawmakers about osteopathic physician and student issues.

This conference provides two opportunities to participate - there are
virtual CME sessions on Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24, and
attendees can additionally sign-up for in-person briefing sessions and congressional meetings
on Tuesday, April 26 and Wednesday, April 27 in Washington, DC.

The virtual conference content will be available for viewing through early June to provide you with
the flexibility to watch the sessions during the conference dates or afterward at your convenience.

Attendees registering for the in-person congressional meetings will be organized into small
groups based on their home address and will be scheduled for 3-6 meetings with their U.S.
Senate offices and members of the House of Representatives. Participation in congressional
meetings will be capped for each state. Registration limits for each state will be based on the
size of the state’s congressional delegation and state osteopathic association, with space
reserved in each state delegation for physicians and students.

Cultivating strong osteopathic advocates and facilitating meaningful relationships with
lawmakers to help advance health policy is central to the AOA’s mission. I want to personally
thank you in advance for your interest in, and commitment to advocating on behalf of our entire
osteopathic community.

I look forward to your participation in this event.

Sincerely,

Joseph A. Giaimo, DO, MACOI
President

best way to assist each generation in a post-pandemic environment, how to create
generational inclusivity, and the common denominators across the generations.
