THE MEADOWS ISSUE 1 2021 COMMUNITY NEWS Safety in unity: stronger together Slowly but surely, life in our city is marching back to normalcy – and it’s our responsibility to ensure we take the precautions that support our government’s tireless efforts. While you wear masks and practice social distancing, we urge you to inform your household staff to adhere to the below guidelines. 1. Household staff must wear their masks properly (covering their nose and mouth) at all times in the community. 2. Gathering of staff members from different households in the common areas is not permitted. 3. Social distancing of at least 3 metres must be adhered to at all times in common areas. To ensure a safe environment for everyone, staff members found to be in repeated violation of these guidelines will be asked to leave the amenity.
THE MEADOWS ISSUE 1 2021 COMMUNITY NEWS Feeding stray cats is a no-no In the interest of the health and safety of residents, leaving food out for stray cats in common areas is not permitted. Here are a few reasons why: • This is a Dubai Municipality regulation and violations may draw fines. • It attracts cats from other neighbourhoods and leads to noisy, even violent territorial disputes. • Leftover or stale food attracts pests, rodents and other critters. • Negatively affects the community’s aesthetics with cat droppings and bad odour. Share this with members of your family, domestic staff and/or tenants residing in your property.
THE MEADOWS ISSUE 1 2021 COMMUNITY NEWS Flawless boundary walls Over 2,700 square metres of boundary walls around your community have been refurbished to keep them in tip-top shape! • The walls were first carefully scouted, and we identified weak points, chips, cracks and other signs of wear and tear. • The gaps and crevices were filled in with plaster, while chipped portions were sanded over. • Finally, two coats of paint were applied along the length of the wall to restore its former beauty. • A weatherproof layer of thermo-plaster was added over the dried paint to help keep the walls safe from the scorch – especially with summer on the way. From scouting for imperfections to rectifying everything, it took around two months to get the walls looking their best again!
