              Safety in unity:
              stronger together
Slowly but surely, life in our city is
marching back to normalcy – and it’s
our responsibility to ensure we take
              the precautions that support our
              government’s tireless efforts.

While you wear masks and practice
social distancing, we urge you to
              inform your household staff to
              adhere to the below guidelines.
              1. Household staff must wear their
                 masks properly (covering their
nose and mouth) at all times in
                 the community.
              2. Gathering of staff members from
                 different households in the
                 common areas is not permitted.
              3. Social distancing of at least 3
metres must be adhered to at all
                 times in common areas.

To ensure a safe environment for
              everyone, staff members found to
be in repeated violation of these
guidelines will be asked to leave
              the amenity.

              Feeding stray cats is
              a no-no
In the interest of the health and safety
of residents, leaving food out for stray
cats in common areas is not permitted.
Here are a few reasons why:

              • This is a Dubai Municipality regulation
                and violations may draw fines.

              • It attracts cats from other
                neighbourhoods and leads to noisy,
                even violent territorial disputes.

              • Leftover or stale food attracts pests,
                rodents and other critters.

              • Negatively affects the community’s
                aesthetics with cat droppings and
                bad odour.

Share this with members of your
              family, domestic staff and/or tenants
              residing in your property.

              Flawless boundary walls
Over 2,700 square metres of boundary
              walls around your community have
been refurbished to keep them in
              tip-top shape!

              • The walls were first carefully
                scouted, and we identified weak
points, chips, cracks and other signs
                of wear and tear.

              • The gaps and crevices were filled in
                with plaster, while chipped portions
                were sanded over.

              • Finally, two coats of paint were
applied along the length of the wall
                to restore its former beauty.

              • A weatherproof layer of
                thermo-plaster was added over the
dried paint to help keep the walls
safe from the scorch – especially
                with summer on the way.

              From scouting for imperfections to
              rectifying everything, it took around
two months to get the walls looking
              their best again!

Log in to drive in: is your
              access card active?
You can now apply for new access
cards or register your existing card by
              just logging in at www.emiratesliving.ae.

              Got questions? We’ve got answers.

Q.1. I already have an access card. Do I
              still need a new one?
No, unless you shifted to a different
home. Just log into your community
portal and select the ‘activate existing
              card’ option.

Q.2. I have just moved into my new
home, how do I get my access cards?
Log into your community portal, click
on ‘apply for a new card’ to get your
              access cards.

Q.3. Why isn’t my card working at the gate?
It could be either because your tenancy
              contract has expired, you’ve not
activated your existing card or your
              card has been physically damaged.

Q.4. How many cards can I get?
That depends on the number of
parking spaces allocated to your villa.

perfect condition. We caught up with Anowar Babul
from Bangladesh, who has been your community’s
     landscaping professional for ten years.

Why he loves it here: “I have been here for so long
that I feel like I have a mental map of the whole
area! Everyone here is also really warm and
supportive, from the residents to my supervisors.”

What a typical day’s like: “I like to spend a lot of time reading books, especially religious books.
During my free time I also enjoy relaxing with my friends.”

On his family back home: “I have one son who lives with my wife back in Bangladesh, along with
my parents – they are all in very good health and I am grateful for that.”

His ambitions and dreams: “I love Dubai and this community a lot but it is my heart’s desire to
one day return to my home country and settle down with my family there.”

His plans for 2021: “I am trying to stay safe this year but with things slowly going back to normal,
I will be able to begin spending more time outdoors. I also want to follow a healthy diet and get
     more exercise this year.”

              Q. One of the electrical outlets in my unit is not
working. How do I fix it?

              1. Check if it is connected to a wall switch that may have not been
                 turned on.

              2. Once this is determined, inspect the circuit
breakers and reset any that may have turned off.

              3. A blown fuse may have also disrupted power to
                 the outlet.

Do not attempt to insert any long artifacts into the
outlet – call a reliable electrician if you are unable to
              resolve the problem.
