You won’t have to wait too much longer: The weather is warming up and daylight-saving time starts on Sunday 4 October 2020 at 2:00am. Please remember to set your clocks forward 1 hour. Welcome to our Spring City Grapevine Newsletter. It feels so good that the days are getting longer again, and the weather is warming up. The trees are coming into bloom. This time of year brings a sense of optimism with more opportunities to get outside and enjoy sunshine. We have a few suggestions for you to experience our Park Lands and enjoy the warmer weather this spring. Perhaps go along to a Trees for Life activity with Bushcare or experience outdoor meditation with our Forest Bathing activity, it is always invigorating to try something new.

The City of Adelaide have committed $30,000 towards the construction of the Community Shed in 2020/21 and the project is in the planning stage with draft concept designs being drawn up. It will be located on Franklin Street at a site leased to the Conservation Council of South Australia (at the former Adelaide Bus Station called The Joinery) and it is hoped construction will be completed by the end of this calendar year. Council are working with a group of volunteers to form an incorporated Community Shed Committee to help shape what the shed will look like, opening times and services that can be offered to the community.
