APPENDIX Southern California Public Radio Southern California Public Radio (“SCPR”) is an affiliate of APMG. It is a member-supported public media network that operates across the Southern California region, reaching from Santa Barbara down to Los Angeles and Orange Counties, and out to the Coachella Valley through KPCC (public radio) and LAist (online and digital media). Reaching 800,000 listeners every week, KPCC is the most listened-to public radio news service in Southern California and serves the diverse communities of Southern California with award-winning local news coverage as well as with the most NPR (National Public Radio) content available anywhere in the region. The mission of SCPR is to strengthen the civic and cultural bonds that unite Southern California’s diverse communities by providing the highest quality news and information service through radio and other interactive media. SCPR serves as a public forum that engages its audiences in an ongoing dialogue and exploration of issues, events and cultures in the region and in the world, seeking to provide greater understanding and new perspectives to the people of these communities and their leaders. SCPR has an independent board, responsible for oversight of SCPR’s business and operations.
