ONE THING YOU WANT TO DO BEFORE LEAVING UO Go to women’s soccer and softball games. GREATEST ROLE MODEL My grandma. She was the most compassionate and kind-hearted person I have ever known. FAVORITE BUSINESS COURSE Finance 316 with Steve McKeon. Steve was immensely knowledgeable about and experienced in finance and the financial industry, which, coupled with his passion for teaching, made for an awesome class. I hope to strengthen a team’s brand and its fan base around a united cause of success on and off the field. BEST EXPERIENCE AT UO SO FAR My best experience at the UO so far has to be my two-week study abroad sports business program this past summer. We had access to many companies which students at other universities would not have been able to hear from including Nike Europe, Adidas World HQ, Lagardere Sports, Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam, the German Olympic Committee and many more. In total, we travel to five cities in 14 days with plenty of free time to go out and explore local cultures and even do some hiking in the Bavarian Alps. I would highly recommend this program to anyone interested in sports business. 3 ONE THING YOU WANT TO DO BEFORE LEAVING UO Before I leave the UO I would like to attend a CrossFit class with Julia Smith. GREATEST ROLE MODEL My greatest role model has to be Russell Wilson, QB1 of the Seattle Seahawks. I am a little biased because I have been a Hawks fan my entire life, but through what I have observed following his career, the media and his own personal accounts, Russell is a man of extremely high character, positivity, charity and Christian faith. He and his wife Ciara go to the Seattle Children’s Hospital every Tuesday, and he is constantly upbeat even after a loss. I hope to emulate him as I go through trials in my professional career. FAVORITE BUSINESS COURSE My favorite business class so far has been Marketing 311H. Our professor, Leah Schneider, was extremely energetic and passionate about marketing despite the 8:00 a.m. start time, and she brought out my passion for the subject through interesting lectures with real-world examples. Our final presentation was a competitive marketing presentation to the class, and going through that entire process brought my group very close together. Through the UO I’ve been able to study abroad twice, play some intramural sports, and meet some amazing people. ONE THING YOU WANT TO DO BEFORE LEAVING UO I honestly want to find and take photos in the Taylor’s photo booth! I have never been able to find it. GREATEST ROLE MODEL All my friends! FAVORITE BUSINESS COURSE I loved Nicole Wilson’s BA352 class. It was our first class as a cohort together and it really pushed me outside my public speaking comfort zone! Intramural soccer in the spring of 2018 will always be a highlight of college. ONE THING YOU WANT TO DO BEFORE LEAVING UO I want to go to at least one game for every UO sport this year. GREATEST ROLE MODEL My aunt. I’ve always looked up to her because she is so driven with her career, has an incredible work ethic, and is always looking to make other people happy. BEST EXPERIENCE AT UO SO FAR My best experience at UO was meeting tons of people at the very beginning of Honors Business. The first fall term was so fun because we were involved in so many group projects and were meeting so many different people for the very first time. ONE THING YOU WANT TO DO BEFORE LEAVING UO One thing I would like to do is see the campus complete with the new science campus and the new track field. GREATEST ROLE MODEL My greatest role model is Kanye West as he is not one to conform to the common thought patterns of society. Kanye does not change what he believes in simply to gain acceptance from other people. I love how he is very authentic and open with people. I’m incredibly proud to be related to such a lively and resilient woman who was not afraid to be independent, adventurous and courageous when others told her she couldn’t. FAVORITE BUSINESS COURSE My favorite class was Honors Finance 316 with my cohort. Our professor, Stephen McKeon, made the class so fun and interesting.
