International Service Team Positions
The detailed job positions outlined in this bulletin seek to assist the
adult participant in identifying his/her preference and at the same time
also help the JamCam Organizing Team take better advantage of the
CANDIDATE´S skills. The candidate for the International Service Team
may select up to three preferred job positions. However, this shall not
guarantee acceptance by the event organizing team. The candidate
should be aware that the Organizing Team may assign him/her to another
position as a result of the needs of the event. After assignment to the area
where the candidate will perform his/her role, he/she will be contacted
by the respective team coordinator, when he/she will receive additional
information about the tasks to be performed in addition to completing
the Voluntary Work Agreement form. This document formalizes his/her
commitment to the event. We remind IST members that the job routine
entails working eight-hour shifts on a daily basis - on average. Your daily
schedule will be established by the Team Coordinators and shifts can
occur during daytime and/or nighttime.

As outlined in the event Bulletin 1, members of the International Service
Team should plan to arrive on January 3, 2020 to receive specific training
relating to their job functions. Meals for IST members will be available
from the day of your arrival.

2Admin
ADMIN AND RECEPTION ASSISTANT
CANDIDATE’S PROFILE:
• Polite and welcoming attitude to service those attending the event as
participants and visitors always providing the best service. Greet and
Guide JamCam participants upon arrival / departure locations. (Airport
/ Bus Station / Jamboree);
• Well-organized;
• Speak, at least at basic level in two (2) official languages of the event:
Spanish, English and Portuguese.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• General Admin support. Greeting people, provide external and
internal information, location of participants, issue of substitute ID
name tags, exit passes from the Jamboree site and any other activities
requested;
• Concierge: greeting visitors / service providers, registration, entry
admission;
• Lost and Found: taking in, control and return.

CANDIDATE’S PROFILE:
• Savvy with monies and numbers;
• Polite and welcoming attitude to service those attending the event.
Good people skills to relate with others, always providing the best

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Ability to handle money;
3• Control exchange of JamCam money for real currency at the pre-set
locations;
• At the end of each shift account for all the cash money handled;
• It should a have the responsibility the cashier to close.

STORE OPERATOR
CANDIDATE´S PROFILE:
• Desirable sales / store experience or in past Jamboree scout shop;
• Friendly, amicable and polite when dealing with the public;

• Basic level in at least two (2) of the official languages of the event:
Spanish, English and Portuguese.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Organize inventory;
• Service the public in general inside the Scout Shop store during the
event;
• Sell and charge for the Scout Shop merchandise;
• Take care of the Scout Shop´s merchandise and inventory;
• Comply with daily work shifts and work roster set out;
• Act as cashier operator in the Scout Shop.

VIP RECEPTION SUPPORT
CANDIDATE´S PROFILE
• Experience in servicing the public;
• Good fluency in Spanish, English and and Portuguese;

• Good knowledge of the Scout Movement and World Scouting.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Present to authorities and VIP guests information about the Scout
5Movement and details of the event´s organization and program,
highlighting the most important aspects of the Scouting activity;
• Have good understanding of the daily event schedule and the
Jamboree structure;
• Greet and accompany authorities and guests while they are at the
JamCam site;
• Guide journalists around the authorized areas of the JamCam and in
places where activities are carried out;
• Explains and provide the press kit to journalists present at the event.
Press kit will contain photos, press releases and information about the
JamCam.

• Organize the venues necessary for preparing special events and
receptions on behalf of participating contingents;
• Look after the material used during events.

DESKTOP PUBLISHER
CANDIDATE´S PROFILE
• Experience with desktop publishing and graphic design;
• Experience creating graphic design for social media;
• Fully fledged in desktop publish software (Adobe InDesign, Adobe
Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator);
• Thorough understanding of the Visual Identity Manual of Escoteiros do
Brasil.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Design the daily JamCam Newspaper;
• Create layouts for developing promotional materials, event
communication and press kits;
• Follow-up print layouts and execution at print shops.

• Have illustration and / or drawing as a hobby or on a professional basis;
• Fully fledged in creative softwares used for digital drawing and

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Create the illustrations and drawings that will be included in the event
website and JamCam Newspaper;

• Grant the use of all images and drawings to União dos Escoteiros do
Brasil.

PHOTOGRAPHER
CANDIDATE´S PROFILE:
• Professional photographer or digital photography as a hobby;
• Prepare and submit in advance a personal portfolio in digital format to
designer@jamcam2020.org.br;
• Bring and make available your digital photography equipment, including
digital camera, memory cards and batteries;
• Personal discipline to meet deadlines on photo requirements.
DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:
• Register the greatest number of moments and aspects of JamCam 2020
with digital photography;
• Engage and register program activities and other areas of the JamCam;
• Provide photo assets to illustrate the JamCam Newspaper and the event
website;
• Willingness to assign the use of the images to Escoteiros do Brasil and
to execute an agreement on the use and rules of the photography at the
JamCam (for example, avoid photos of young people in positions that
may be cause negative impact).

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Coordinate with the other team members the daily editions of the
event´s communication platforms: newspaper, website, radio, TV and
social networks;
• Assist in the process of preparing and producing news material;
• Look after equipment and other devices under your responsibility and
in your team;
• Assist with the distribution of JamCam newspaper;
• Assist in archiving and organizing all produced material used (edited)
or not, making it available for Escoteiros do Brasil.

• Ability to operate digital radio automation software, with playlist and

• Plan JamCam 2020 Radio programming with playlists, information and
newsletters;
• Execute JamCam 2020 Radio programming with songs, information
and newsletters;
• Select songs for broadcasting;
• Edit small pieces of audio for insertion into the JamCam Radio.

CANDIDATE´S PROFILE:
• Professional video editor or video editing as a hobby;
• Bring along and make available your equipment for your job role and
video editing softwares which are necessary to fulfill the job function in
a satisfactory manner;

• Basic level in at least two official languages of the event: Spanish,
English and Portuguese.

• Knowledgeable of databases, such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.

HEALTH AND SAFETY SPECIALIST
CANDIDATE´S PROFILE:
1. Suggest improvements to JamCam’s work safety system, investigate
risks and causes for accidents, and work on prevention policies;
122. Inspect JamCam facilities, venues and equipment to determine risk
and possible elements that may give cause to accident;
3. Propose rules and regulations and safety devices, making
recommendations on modifications to equipment and installations.
Monitor adherence for accident prevention;
4. Inspect fire-fighting systems and other protective equipment;
5. Prepare reports of qualitative and quantitative inspections, whenever
necessary;
6. Register work-related accidents on the respective form;
7. Maintain contact with the JamCam medical services for the necessary
assistance to the injured parties;

areas before each event;

• Ability to guide the subcamp team leaders, key speakers, musicians

• Responsible for delivering equipment to Team Coordinators and any
other designated people;
• Keep equipment in good working order, recharging batteries;
• Ensure the proper use and conservation of the available equipment;

• Contribute to the preparation of a final report on the use of the
equipment.

Scout event;

• Act with a preventive mindset on internal security in subcamps and
program areas;
• Assist and guide the scout public in arena meetings and throughout
the JamCam, avoiding disturbances and risks;
• Provide for the internal safety of the event’s infrastructure and other
areas of the JamCam;
• Prepare daily reports of occurrences and also a general report to each
event;
• Offer assistance to the Scout public in a courteous and polite manner,
provide assistance when requested;

subcamps or in program areas;

• Undertake small purchases during the event as requested by the
JamCam organizing team;
• At the end of the event, receive back, control and check the conditions

• Guide and support the organization and the implementation of the
booths for National Contingents (NSOs);
• Control material assigned to the contingents, ensuirng they are
returned at the end of the event;

23CULTURAL PROGRAM SUPPORT ASSISTANT
CANDIDATE´S PROFILE:

• Creativity and personal interest in cultural activities.

• Guide and support the implementation of the Cultural Program
presentations at the Scout Center;
• Plan a program of presentations, coordinating their execution with
the heads of the contingents;
• Ensure booths are used according to JamCam rules.

• Assemble groups of visitors at the scheduled times;
• Guide the visitors in your party, at the scheduled times, on a guided
tour of the countryside, in the permitted areas, keeping the group
cohesive;
• Inform, guide and explain to visitors on how the event works,
including the rules, visiting hours and time limits in which visitors must
have left the JamCam site.

RESTAURANT ASSISTANT
CANDIDATE´S PROFILE:

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Assist the assigned Restaurant Service Team / JamCam Organizing
team and/or the participants;
• IST assistants and JamCam Organizing team members to the
restaurant;
• Guide the IST and the Organizing team members in the correct use of
spaces, preservation and cleanliness;
• Accompany the third party food service company, observing its
conditions and reporting to its coordinator any irregularities found.

EVENT CERIMONY ASSISTANT
MODULE DESCRIPTION:
Including the opening and closing ceremonies. These will be inspiring
moments where participants can celebrate the Brotherhood of
Scouting, reaffirm their values and have fun. After the ceremonies all
participants will be able to enjoy and have fun with different music
genres to celebrate the JamCam.
CANDIDATE´S PROFILE:

• Understanding of ceremonies and their preparation;
• Knowledge of the use of audiovisual and sound resources;
• Organized and zealous of the equipment made available for the job;

MODULE DESCRIPTION:
The module will offer the opportunity for young people to get to know
some of the main tourist attractions of Foz do Iguaçu, such as Iguaçu
Falls and Bird Sanctuary. Specific activities will also be available in the
Water Park.
CANDIDATE´S PROFILE:
• Ideally people between the ages of 18 and 40;

The module will consist of the following activities:
• Fair of Nations: An activity carried out within each Subcamp, where
each troop offers a typical product from their country, including food and
beverages;
• Scouting Evening: An evening consisting of typical scouting activities
such as campfire, song festival or similar, held at each subcamp;
27• Musical Show: A musical show for all participants, on Wednesday
night at the Central Arena;
• Folklore Festival: A night of folk presentations at the Central Arena,
including presentations of each country´s cultural heritage seeking to
pay tribute to the peoples that make up our Continent.

MODULE DESCRIPTION:
The Peace Woods will be a specially designed space for participants
to broaden their relationship with God as well as recognize the
importance of establishing a culture of peace. The main objectives of
the Forest of Peace are:
• Recognize the benefits of having a personal faith, discover how belief
in something superior impacts on one´s life. Understand and respect
the diversity of faith and beliefs that exist in our continent;
• Hold religious celebrations at specific times;

• Provide an inclusive environment, where manifestations of inclusion
and diversity are valued;
• Promote activities related to peace and understanding among people.

• Prior Activities: Activities offered before the JamCam, through social
networks, so that the young people can get to know and interact;

develop upon arriving at the JamCam subcamps, such as building of Unit
portals, painting of flags, decorating the subcamp stage, etc .;
29• Insignia “Diversities that unite us”: By completing specific requirements
and activities participantes may conquer a special insignia;
• Energizing Activities: Fun-filled activities to be carried out in free-time,
such as juggling, magicians, escape games, “shadows”, spontaneous games,
circle-songs, etc.

MODULE DESCRIPTION:
The patrols will participate in activities and workshops within the
following themes: Science and Technology, Art and Culture, Peace and
Understanding, Sustainability and Health. The main objective of the
30activities offered in the Interamerican Sustainable Village is to enable
young people to discover and experience the main issues that the world
faces today with development, understand its origins, consequences
and what humanity can do to move forward. The main focus will be to
enable participants to acquire skills to address these issues in their
own communities, with particular emphasis on the UN’s established
Challenges of Sustainable Development.
CANDIDATE´S PROFILE:
• Work experience with group dynamics and techniques;
• Experience in one of the following fields: Science, Technology,
Ecology, Human Relations, Theater, Folklore, Dance, Body Expression,
