BE Insight 1. Our big obstacle and facing it together – KitaJagaKita The Covid-19 pandemic - Regarded as one of the biggest hurdles we have to overcome, we have been on our feet, living day to day on full alert for far too long. Year 2020 has been a bumpy ride for most of us while we look at our calendars waiting for the year to end. Finally starting anew, as we recover from the aftermath, BE International would like to invite you to reflect with us, on our journey to overcome the impacts of the pandemic, to rise stronger and better for 2021. The most significant Covid-19 impact is perhaps the downturn of the economy, especially for small business enterprises and other independently owned establishments. Some, struggling to get by and others, forced to shut down. Young, fresh and aspiring graduates compete for job opportunities while nearly 100,000 jobs were lost since January, 2020. During our lockdown, many were stuck at home, unable to travel as increased mobility restrictions, disrupted our daily routines and lifestyle with little to no social interaction until the order was lifted. Even working from home was an unfamiliar experience for the most of us. One thing that remained constant however, was our strength and unity. While it may differ from person to person, household to household, Malaysians faced endless waves of struggles as one, holding faithfully onto our national rally, ‘KitaJagaKita’ within our hearts.
2. Moving forward with BE in 2021 ‘We cannot change the past, but we should not let it hold our future back!’ Change and Adapt Commercially, when physical stores were not available, businesses have taken their services and products to operate online. The food and beverage industry, following many other enterprises, has grown to adapt to delivery systems to fight the pandemic. Domestically, we have adapted to the normality of using technology, electronics and software applications to accommodate our lifestyle needs such as online food and groceries delivery, e-wallets and virtual meetings. We have proven time and time again, that we can adapt, we can change and most importantly, we can overcome. This pandemic was no different. Seize Opportunities Many opportunities not visible before are now the standard norms in both business and lifestyle. Budding entrepreneurs took the opportunity to create new forms of businesses through online platforms, while IT and software developers have also flourished in the midst of this transformation to Malaysia’s benefit. Even families have gotten closer and strengthened relationships to survive the hardships, whereas, the rest have taken on new hobbies, interests and healthier routines during the ‘stay-at-home’ period. Needless to say, in a different perspective, we have all worked hard in one way or another to lessen the impacts of boredom, restriction and difficulties brought on by Covid-19. BE Prepared The key takeaways from this hardship? In the settling dust, we have learned to pick ourselves up, and better prepare for the worst and the best. So, join us, and start building your business with BE International! Let us rediscover our blueprint for our future this year, building on the new foundations we have laid and start constructing our own personal goals for 2021!
BE Insight Bid farewell to your old skin, and welcome the new. Ultraviolet rays from the Sun is the greatest enemy to our skin, so, protecting your skin from the Sun can be the key to unlocking your beauty! The two sources of damage that excessive exposure to the Sun can do to your skin: Ultraviolet A ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB). It enters our dermis directly, destroying collagen and prevents our skin from synthesizing more. Ultraviolet B It directly damages the surface of our skin. Excessive exposure to the Sun can cause sunburns, leading to erythema, skin redness and even peeling. Once our skin’s ability to produce collagen decreases, our skin will begin to sag without the support of collagen, and wrinkles will form. Additionally, lack of collagen may bring traits of aging skin, such as dryness and loss of elasticity. No matter where and when, we must stay well protected from excessive UV rays to prevent further damage to our skin.

BE Insight Recognition Night with Founder If you want to go far, go together RCCA Pauline Tong & Jacky Chan Former Beauty & Bridal Businessowner / Former Manpower Outsourcing Businessowner After graduating from Curtin University in Perth, RCCA Pauline and Jacky wanted to remain in Australia as they believed career and life prospects were better there. “If it wasn’t for my father who insisted I return home, I might only know about BE later!” Pauline said. “As much as I wanted to stay on in Australia, I didn’t want to be apart from Pauline,” Jacky grinned. THE ORDINARY CAREER PATH Upon returning to Malaysia, they each started their BE Lifestyle Travel to Dubai career with 9-5 jobs. Photo with upline It was a different story for Jacky. “I was of course skeptical about her new passion in BE and Aulora Pants, mostly because I was anti-MLM. I used to tick off friends who tried to talk me into joining their MLM business. So, whenever Pauline asked me to join her BE meetings, I would find excuses not to attend.” But he knew he couldn’t keep rejecting Pauline’s invitation. When senior upline RCCA Chua Tee Khoon was in town, Jacky decided to show some interest in what Pauline was pursuing and joined the meeting. From there, his eyes were opened to the networking or direct selling business of modern times. And the rest is history. BE Lifestyle Travel to Melbourne Photo with founders THE BIGGER THE NETWORK, THE EASIER THE BUSINESS The year 2020 has made them realise how fortunate they are to have found BE, a business and career that is tailormade for this challenging time. “In conventional and brick-and-mortar business, the bigger the establishment, the more you want to expand and the higher the risks.
