Garden’s Echo August 2019 5. The next category is for the “Most indispensable” employees. These people have been nominated because some of us would lose our heads if we didn’t have them around in times of big “challenges”. The nominees are: Pierre Sigouin, Marie-Eve Henry-Lalonde, Chantal Gagné, Michael Petco, Mylaine Séguin and Pierre Lassonde. And the winner is: Marie-Eve Henry-Lalonde 6. This category is for the employees that take the most initiative. They are the ones that are always completing the monthly chores. They see what needs to be done and do it without anyone having to ask and without it necessarily being their job. They keep our environment clean and tidy. The nominees are: Pierre Lassonde, Macy Delorme, Danica Labelle, Valérie Dumouchel, Tina Desjardins, Danika Henri and Mylaine Séguin. And the winner is: Mylaine Séguin. 7. The next category is “most obliging”. These people never say no. They always go the extra mile for us and are willing to do almost anything we ask of them. They are also the ones the residents can count on to help out even if they are super busy. The nominees are: Gerry Thériault, Guillaume Lopez, Mike Joseph, Pierre Sigouin and Mylaine Séguin. Garden’s Echo August 2019 10. Now, we give the “Rookie of the Year Award”. This title goes to some employees that have been at Royal Garden for less than a year. People nominated in this category have not been with us for long but have already made really good impressions. They are our pride when we think of the residence’s future. We know that they are making our home a better place just by working there and we are proud to have added them to our team. We truly hope that their plan is to stay with us for a very long time. The nominees are: Chantal Gagné, Michael Petco, Kyra Provençal and Philippe McGuire. The winner is: Michael Petco Will the following people please stand up: Guillaume Lopez, Mélissa Pilon, Marie Kassabian, Car- olyne Giroux, France Lourenco, Hayley Wormington, Mylaine Séguin, Daniel Deschamps, Phillipe McGuire, Kendra Goodall, Believe Kamba, Danika Henri, Robert Gravelle, Tina Desjardins, Pierre Sigouin, Marcel Lacroix, Jeannine St-Amand, Lise Parent and Michael Petco. If you are standing right now, it’s because you’ve made so much of a difference in the life of a resident in the past year that they chose to vote for you for the resident’s choice award. They did so even if they could have voted for 45 other amazing people they also interact with every day. This means that every time you come in for work, you make a difference in the life of at least one resident at work. It means that when they see your face walking our hallways, sitting at reception or serving them the tea, their day just got better. We have a team full of amazing people who give their best every day when they come to work to make the lives of the residents better. The resi- dents tell us every day how each and everyone of our employees deserve the title. Yet, because you did a little more and went a little further, they decided to reward you personally today. For that, you deserve a big round of applause. Ladies and gentlemen, I therefore present you with the nominees for Resident’s choice award 2018-2019. Don’t forget that if you’re standing now, you already won something very big tonight. And the winner is: Jeannine St-Amand. This title was what was closing the award ceremony for the year 2018-2019. If you did not get nominated tonight or did not win anything, know that its not because you are not doing a good job. At Royal Garden, we simply don’t keep people that do bad. If you work at Royal Garden, it’s because you have what it takes to be an employee there. You are all amazing and you all deserved to win a prize tonight. But we were asked to judge on these categories only. We really hope you enjoyed your week and that we truly made memories for you that will remain in your hearts and heads forever. Thank you for being part of our team. You really are a family to us and we love each and every one of you very much. “ 7
