THE CEDAR SUITE

The elegant and luxuriously stylish Cedar Suite has a private entrance, large ornate windows
offering an abundance of natural light and French doors opening onto a secluded walled
garden. The Cedar Suite boasts its own servicing bar and adjacent quiet room. Holding up
to 100 people seated for your civil ceremony, 80 people for your wedding breakfast and
150 people for your evening reception, the Cedar Suite provides the perfect setting for your
                                        wedding day.

                                        CEDAR GARDEN

Amidst the tranquil manicured grounds of Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa lies the hidden gem of
the beautiful Cedar Garden, the perfect choice for an outside wedding ceremony. Surround
yourself in our quintessential English walled garden with its evocative colours, floral scents and
the romantic backdrop of the traditional handmade oak pavilion. The Cedar Garden can
accommodate up to 100 people seated and is one of only a few venues in Hampshire licensed
                     for outdoor wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships.

                                         THE LOUNGE

Located in the original Manor section of the hotel, the Lounge is full of traditional English
character. Features include a high wood panelled ceiling with original oak beams and exposed
brickwork. Along with the impressive Inglenook fireplace, the Lounge is a warm, relaxing haven,
rich with natural textures and a relaxing ambiance, holding up to 100 people (60 seated) for

                                      THE BEECH ROOM

The Beech room is perfect for a more intimate wedding. Licensed for up to 50 people seated
for your civil ceremony the room benefits from an abundance of natural daylight and direct

The Manor Suite is elegant, sophisticated and airy. With French windows which open onto the private, south facing
courtyard garden, the attention to detail, candle sconces and seating for 100 guests make this the ultimate country
wedding room. The Manor Suite can only hold the Wedding Breakfast and will not incur a room hire if your meal finishes
around 6:00pm. For a meal carrying over this time a room hire of will apply.

CEDAR SUITE
The Cedar Suite seats up to 80 guests and benefits from its own private entrance. The large ornate windows give the
room a naturally bright feel and inviting ambience, with French doors opening onto the private terrace area this suite
makes the perfect wedding and evening function room.
EVENING RECEPTION FUNCTION SUITES
The Cedar Suite can accommodate up to 150 people for your evening reception and is licensed for a bar and music until
11pm. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer an extension of time. Please note that the Cedar suite is the only function
suite available for your evening party/reception.

Hire of the room for the evening is from £600 (if you are not booking a wedding package) including the provision of a
private bar, adjoining quiet room and private walled garden.

You will need to take into consideration your travelling from Church to the Hotel (if applicable), the Drinks Reception

THE WEDDING CAKE

In Roman times, the wedding cake was known as the
Bride’s cake and was broken over her head during the
ceremony to symbolise the breaking of the hymen
and dominance of the groom over the bride. The cake
recipe changed to include fruits and nuts as symbols
of fertility. Instead of being broken it is now cut by
the bride and groom to show they will be sharing
everything in their future together. Nowadays a “mock
cutting of the cake” takes place with the photographer
during the drinks reception and our official cake cutting
ceremony takes place after the main course or in the
evening before we serve the buffet with the help of our
Master of Ceremony.
