Associazione Diplomatici Associazione Diplomatici Letter from the founder and CEO of CWMUN mission CLAUDIO CORBINO Associazione Diplomatici Associazione Diplomatici is an NGO, official partner of the United Nations, with consultative status inthe UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Founded in 2000, it leads international training classes for young people from all over the world, organizing high-level training courses as well as national and international events. With the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and other authoritative international in- stitutions, AD has founded the “Change the World - World Program”, recognized as the most important international traveling forum in the world, for high school and university students. Every year, we welcome more than 6,000 students from all over the world who take part in our events together with leading experts, ambassadors, former ministers, former heads of state and government, well-known sports champions, artists, UN and EU secretariat representatives, who actively debate the most current issues of international geopolitics with our your participants. The “Change the World” takes place in New York, Abu Dhabi, Rome, Paris, Berlin, Warsaw, Barcelona and Brussels. AD has also founded the World in Progress (WIP) project, through which students compare themselves with the most current realities in politics, history and international economics. WIPs take place in New York, Pristina, Mexico City, Tokyo, Istanbul, Jerusalem, Doha, and Washington. All the students involved take part in specialized training courses organized by AD with the support of the Institute for In- ternational Political Studies (ISPI), the geopolitical magazines “Limes” and “EASTWEST”. Since 2018, all AD activities are carried out in partnership with EASTWEST EUROPEAN INSTITUTE (EWEI). Why education is so important to us? Education has a great social importance especially in the modern, complex societies like ours. Education has this function of cultural transmission in all societies. It is only at the under levels of the schools and international Conferences, like CWMUN, that any serious attempt has been, or now is, made to deal with this area. Individuals must have personalities shaped or fashioned in ways that fit into this changing world. Education everywhere has the function of the formation of social persona- lities. Education helps in transmitting culture through proper moulding of social personalities. In this way, it contributes to the integration. The importance of education is undeniable for every single person. It goes without saying that education has a positive effect on human life. All people need to study. Only with the advent of education can people gain knowledge and enlarge their view over the world. Education through Model UN Conferences is absolutely beneficial for society as a whole. It is a life-long process for each student that needs to be reinforced throughout life. Location: United Nations HQ - New York City, USA The first edition of the Change the World Model Economic Diplomacy will be organized in partnership with the EastWest European Institute (EWEI). EWEI is an institution engaged in political analysis and research, publishing, training in international careers and events, as well as institutional support for enter- CWMUN NYC 2020 prises, with a focus on the prospect of a federal Europe, protagonist of international scenarios. The goal of March 27/29, 2020 (TBC) Organized by: Associazione Diplomatici this event is to learn the art of negotiation within the United Nations system and in the private multinatio- nals. Nowadays, the international diplomatic negotiations develop more and more on Economic Issues. Location: United Nations HQ - New York City, USA It is then key to take over the technical instruments of multilateral economic negotiation, in the institu- tions and in the private sector. The "Big Apple," the "City That Never Sleeps"—New York is a city of superlatives: America's biggest; its most exciting; its business and cultural capitals; the nation's trendsetter. Main Theme: Non-communicable diseases The city seems to pull in the best and the brightest from every corner of the country. But for all its eight million residents, New York remains a city of neighborhoods, whether it's avant-garde Greenwich Village, bustling Harlem, the ultra-sophisticated TriBeCa, or one of the ethnic enclaves such as Little Italy or China- town. And a cleaner, brighter, safer New York is attracting people from around the world who are coming to enjoy the city's renaissance.
