Sharing the gospel of Jesus around the world... Throughout its history, Assemblies of God World Missions has maintained a singular focus expressed in 1914 at the second General Council of the Assemblies of God. There, delegates approved this resolution: “We commit ourselves and the Movement to Him for the greatest evangelism the world has ever seen.” In living out this commitment, AGWM has always relied on missions-minded pastors, congregations and individuals. People like you. Your prayers and giving and personal involvement in missions ministry are the backbone of what God is doing through AGWM around the world. Every resource in this catalog is designed with you in mind. Whether you are looking for tools to take your church’s upcoming missions convention to the next level, or printed material to inspire readers to come alongside a project in a specific region or nation, or media to give voice to your congregation’s heart for the lost, there is something in these pages that can meet that need. Take a look at our full-color monthly magazine, WorldView. Check out our posters that powerfully capture human need around the world. Explore missions resources that can fit any budget. The gospel is for everyone. It doesn’t matter what your background is, what your culture is, where you come from, or the language you speak. Try to name a restriction, and you can’t. The gospel is for everyone. And everyone means everyone. That’s the message AG World Missions is heralding in its Every Tribe I Every Nation theme. It’s a message that connects with the life theme of the Early Church’s first great missionary, the apostle Paul. “I am not ashamed of the gospel,” he insisted, “because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16, NIV). In contemplating that journey to belief, Paul also asked the most probing question in missions history: “How can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? (Romans 10:14). Every Tribe I Every Nation must hear the good news. Every resource in the following pages is designed to let us partner with you in making that happen. Photo: Evening pier walk. Uruguay. These easy-to-read missions brochures will inspire and encourage your congregation. All True Stories brochures are sold in individual packages of 25. 25 brochures I $3.50 From the ‘Killing Fields’ to the Mission Field by Kirk Noonan 717-413 Dareth Ly was only a child when he was interred by the Khmer Rouge in one of Cambodia’s notorious death camps. How he survived, was miraculously adopted by a family in the United States, and then returned to his homeland to share the hope of the gospel, is a story of undiluted grace. “Miss Greve, Is That You?” by Kristel Ortiz as told by Ann Greve 717-417 In post-war Cambodia, God’s promise of a ‘hope and a future’ seemed unattainable. Destroyed by years of cruel dictatorship, the nation was reeling and without hope. Yet as missionary Ann Greve discovered, God’s plans for restoration are beyond imagination, His vessels perfectly prepared, and His timing impeccable. Martyrs’ Isle by Bryan Webb 717-415 On Vanuatu’s Erromango Island, in the heart of the South Pacific, the ultimate sacrifice of missionaries John Williams and Jacob Harris in 1839 at the hands of a murderous tribe is bearing spiritual fruit today. And a miracle of the tides is still a testimony as tangible as the church today’s Christians have built. Waylaid: How Two Bandits Met Christ by Kristel Ortiz as told by Mary Ballenger 717-416 Accosted at gunpoint one night while traveling a dark forest road, Togolese missionary John Walada was unaware that Someone was preparing to take his captors by total surprise…and none of them would ever be the same. A Missions Family Tree by Scott Hanson 717-414 Scott Hanson’s story of missions service encompasses his family’s multigenerational commitment to Africa, and is reflected in the narrative of his friends Pastor Balela and Pastor John. A 20-year journey brought spiritual transformation to a remote unreached people group and raised up missionaries there to push the gospel into new and challenging mission fields. When Fathers Fail by Kristel Ortiz as told by Don Triplett 717-418 Young Sara was resolute. Her father was coming home. She was so certain that she declined any further prayers over the matter. Missionaries Don and Terri Triplett, who saw Sara’s family disintegrate a few years earlier when her father ran away with another woman, could only stand by and trust. 34
No Enemy Can Stand by Bryan Webb 717-419 Deep in the brush of Togo, evil spirits rule and villagers live in terror.
