DETERGENT REGULATION (EU) • No rule about full declaration (as for cosmetics) • Contact information to find full declaration • Use and dosage information • Preservation, enzymes, disinfectants, optical white and perfume need to be declared • The 26 perfumes on EU’s list of most allergenic need to be declared with name
REGULATION – TRENDS FROM COSMETICS • New EU regulation on claims on cosmetics • Not allowed to write “free from” (e.g. parabens, hormone disrupters, triclosan) • Restrictions on hypoallergenic (misleading) • Not allowed to demean ingredients which are legal and approved for cosmetics • We believe that this focus will spread to detergents and cleaning products
